At that price , I think I’d be happy just getting their high grade kit for a fraction of a fraction of the cost. I used to play Keith Courage in Alpha Zones back in the day and that’s basically my attachment to the design. I never watched the old anime or played the original version of the game, but maybe one day I’ll at least check out the anime

Adult Swim's My Adventures with Superman
Big s replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just watched the first episode. The animation is pretty good for the style. And I wouldn’t be surprised if the same people that worked on Totally Spies also worked on this. It really felt like they just replaced the spies with Superman and gave a boost to the animation quality. Same art style similar humor and same mannerisms throughout. That being said, if you liked Totally Spies then you’d probably be alright with this. It’s a Superman that’s still coming into his powers kinda story and getting to know his friends and start of his life story. I kinda like the show for what it is, but there’s really no reason for this to be on adult swim. Everything is kid friendly and that’s part of the reason it’s more likable. If you got kids they might dig this as an odd version of Superman sort of like how the Teen Titans show was good for what it was.- 37 replies

Faking has a lot of scans, but I find the site frustrating to use in my phone. It seems easier with a computer though. I tend to check things like that out more when using my phone for some odd reason.

Consolidated Megazone 23 Toy/Model Thread for 2017-2018
Big s replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They look like static kits from the complexity of the joints. They do look great though, but I probably can’t afford the space. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that the moderoids will go further than just the garland- 818 replies

Bandai tends to model their stuff perfectly from awkward screenshots. They don’t bug me much in battroid or gerwalk modes, but in fighter they’re too big for sure. They could’ve easily had two pats for smaller fighter feet and left out the closing gimmick on the regular ones and that probably would’ve made things less awkward

So far, it’s still easier after fiddling with this just to use hobby search. Maybe they’ll get it more user friendly in the future and hopefully in English as well as other languages

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Han, Luke, Willow. It’s overdone and I don’t think anyone liked that idea when it was new. I don’t think anyone likes finding out that their heroes just turned into lonely wastes of space after a great adventure or series of adventures. brings back bad memories of Die Hard movies beyond the second one.- 355 replies

To be honest, that’s my favorite of the team costumes they had. It looked good on everybody

This is the saddest macross picture I’ve seen since the death of Roy

I think the battroid will look great, and probably the gerwalk as well, but the fighter depends on how they do the parts for swapping. I’m definitely curious to see this one more than the rest. I really like the YF-19 model so far for the battroid, but the fighter could’ve used some work although I still like it

I’ve heard it, but long ago. Definitely something of a lost one i used to think he said Donnie, I guess I was wrong

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters summer 2023
Big s replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don’t think that people are really taking longer holidays, it seemed like a lot of people were working Monday, maybe if the fourth were on a Monday to give a longer weekend, it may have been a slight factor. But recent films on long weekends haven’t been heavily affected by them since the big day has been the Friday sales. Avatar May have been the only recent one to significantly gain numbers in a following weekend. I just think most people are turned off from the last film. It’s tough for a franchise to bring back its fans after a big let down, and then the reviews came back less than stellar. It’s also one of those films that turned folks off and not a lot of people went to see it, so even if there were that co worker that someone trusted with a review, that person or people didn’t go. Basically without good word of mouth, the movie won’t get much of an audience until it’s streaming. At this point that’s where this movie will probably pick up an audience since there’s no risk. Streaming itself is a big factor when it’s a film that doesn’t get great reviews. Top Gun was able to bring a big audience due to great reviews and word of mouth, but if it’s not getting that kinda talk people just won’t bother getting out of the house.- 355 replies

It’s more like they ditched the cockpit for the joints. Most of them look pretty obvious, but they seem to work. Still a bit skeptical about that side armor staying on.

I was hearing that from one of the people working at a nearby theater. I guess they were talking about the upcoming films and kinda turning down the dial of destiny a few notches more than expected- 355 replies

Even the Andor show was an underperformance. I actually liked that one for the most part. And as Mechaninac stated above the marvel shows have been on life support for a while. Ms Marvel, She Hulk and now Secret Invasion. And of course Willow was just sad. The hope of good content on D+ is going down.- 355 replies

I actually liked the character. I didn’t really care for how they used the character, but after the movie I had kinda thought a film with that character could be good if handled right. The guy had a gimmick with bladed weapons and tools similar to how his pops used a whip. And he was a motorcycle guy rather than someone that might be on a horse. There was potential, but Disney is really bad at being handed potential success and usually turns it into a failure. It’s like they’re handed gold, but it just turns to rust.- 355 replies
