Shouldn't a catalytic converter make it impossible to shoot flames out of exhaust. GASP! Is Batman a polluter? Saving Gotham at the expense of the EARTH? REALLY BATMAN? I wonder how the EPA feels about Tesla wanting to put solid rocket boosters on their cars? On a serious note, the lighting would look spectacular on a street rod... it is a bit silly for someone who is trying to lay low but I suspect on the suspension of disbelief scale, it's going to be a minor thing.

The 31AX line has a lot of room for greatness if Bandai makes a few minor tweaks so it will fit together better. It does feel like a double dip though since it's not that different from the 31 toys we already own.

It appears the site has come down again. I'll try to get it sorted tomorrow if things don't work themselves out.

Yeah, I think that's the simple solution: A fixed posed hand with a steep cock at the wrist to offset the angle. Also agreed, holding it more like a rifle than a pistol makes a lot of sense and is more fitting to the design of the gun (and looks cool to boot!). Kawamori should put a bit more thought into the gun next time around... this grip is an ergonomics nightmare.
-
I guess any gun with a stock might be held at an angle while braced... So I don't know, it may seem awkward but not really be that off.
-
I suspect this one is a Kawamori issue.. I wonder how it's handle in the anime. Did the 3D model just let the grip go through the forearm? We shall see.
-
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about: You can see to the left that the grip of the gun is a big U and the back of that U lands right where the forearm is. On the right you can see that this means the gun must be angled away from where the hand points because of the conflict of the grip and the forearm. Imagine shooting a gun that was always point 20 degrees off from where you pointed. I suppose a Valkyrie could automatically compensate for this but I just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something or doing something wrong. It's a left/right issue so the downward sloped hand doesn't change it.

I just got mine to battroid for the first time... and I don't understand the gun at all. I can used the fixed posed hand to hold it but it's at an unnatural angle. The back portion of the grip interferes with the forearm. Anyone got a good trick to make it better?

Article I read said that they were still negotiating with the voice actor.

They should have sold each one with a different mission pack.. of course they'd need to figure out a way to have that into the show.

Sorry, the improvements I were referring to were your earlier conversation about the intakes latching better in guardian. If the tweaks from 2.0 to 2.1 mean the intakes lock better then it's probably still trending in the right direction, despite the curious decision with the leg pegs and backpack.

I think it's important to remember that fighter mode, while not bad, has never been the strength of the KitzConcept. If the improvements make Guardian better without completely ruining fighter mode, then it's still probably a step in the right direction. If the backpack is high but the toy looks more level, then they just picked a different poison. There are still areas for improvement... like you said, the landing gear length is a glaring issue. As for ThreeZero... I'm going to believe that when I own one. I'm guessing it will cost twice as much as the KC and be half as durable without much upside... if it ever gets made at all.

I was able to get all the thumbnails to show up but the gallery items were no longer links that led to the full size picture. That sort of thing happens when wordpress rolls out an update. I went ahead and fixed all the gallery settings so now things should work properly. If you're getting the red X for images, that's something different, maybe it's a slow server and it's just taking too long to pull the data? I don't have a lot of time to produce new content right now but I appreciate the heads-up on maintenance issues..... don't want the site to seem totally abandoned.

Which pics were you trying to open? Things seem to be working fine for me but it's hard to tell if it's just because things are cached. You can see in this pic that the big issue in fighter mode was the gargantuan intake which we know is because of the emphasis on other modes and articulation. The minor geometry issue that was causing fighter mode to look like it would naturally ascend (nose pointed up if thrusters were horizontal) is so minor it's barely noticeable. Here you can see that the original mold also did very well: Of course, when I update the review I'll do a V1.0 to 2.1 comparison of the VF-1S.

I loved Letterkenny but I haven't been able to get into the newest season. I don't think they have anywhere left to go with it. Definitely a lot of fun for the first several seasons though.

I wish these companies would start splitting the runs up like it looks like KitzConcept just did. They can produce 500 units and get the minimum factory run but do it in several paint schemes.
-
Huh, it seems like they genuinely wanted the backpack to sit up higher. If they wanted the backpack to sit up higher, that also explains why the pegs are so big as they'd have to reach farther to nest. Maybe they intended to modify the backpack mold to move the slot higher. The good news is, it seems like modifying the backpack part would be an easy fix for KC to implement later if this is not what they intended.

Hachette Collection 1/24 VF-1S (subscription collectable)

You can't get them to put it on a boat? I remember I used to get coffin sized boxes via boat back in the day! -
Thanks Mommar! I was able to dress it up properly.... though I gotta say, I prefer the standard mission pack 9 times out of 10.

"I miss the janky art" isn't something you hear very often... but custom boxes are fun. I'm getting jealous, I just heard something by my door and ran out hoping it would be mine... but alas, just ta neighbor closing their car door.

Those missiles and guns seem like they'd be a great carrot for a variant. I don't know though, I've only heard Sentinel consider making a blue version.

My guess is that it will be CM's sized but with Toynami sized wingspan. Sentinel stuck to the canon Mospeada measurement for the Legioss even though that is crazy hard to do so I think they will try to do the same for the Tread.

So you guys think it's bigger than the CM's?

If they stay true to the Mospeada measurements, the Tread should be similar in size to the CMs... Though I think that exercise further proved that canon Mospeada measurements were a small.
