  1. I received notice from Nin Nin about a week ago that my unit shipped by DHL. Today I wondered what happened and figured it was still in "label created" status. Nope, according to tracking, it's been delivered to an address in South Korea. That's a head scratcher! We'll see how Nin Nin responds.
  2. I don't know, a 1/32 battroid only vf-1 could be cool.
  3. Yeah, that rapey domestic violence subplot is not something I want to try to decode for my kids.
  4. Thanks for doing that! I am busy building a house at the moment so I'm not on top of these things as much as I'd like to be.
  5. So most likely not "off limits" but would BW need to pay HG if the UN Spacy kite appears on merchandising?" It does feel like NUNS, SMS, Xaos, etc. have been a way for BW to move away from the kite whether inspired by HG or not.
  6. The first episode was alright. It had some fun moments. Characterizations are actually better than I expected. I thought it might get too moody and use the live action setting to be more adult but was pleasantly surprised it didn't. Some of the flying sequences feel a little ridiculous but that's my only real knock so far. Maybe that's what you guys are saying when you say "cheap". The counter to that argument though is the type of show they're going for... it's a pop show, not a scifi opera or drama. The anime twisted some darker drama elements into a poppy show and they're trying to emulate that. Just think of sort of the 70s cheesiness of the intros to keep you grounded.

Is it too soon to complain about the lack of a ghost booster?
  8. Is the UN Spacy kite off limits as being from SDF Macross?

There's this but it's just kind of a comparison. I usually consult Macross Mecha Manual when I just have a question to how big a vehicle is supposed to be. I do have a spreadsheet where I've logged every toy's height and length (and sometimes weight) and calculate their actual scales... but not sure how I'd put that on the site.
  10. Phew! Thanks for the clarification.
  11. The regular release has that itasha though so it's really just an early release right? Nothing special to track down unless you need to have it first
  12. As far as we know, this is just an early release for a few people, not a special version of the toy right?
  13. There's some good cheats... even cheating that game is fun... there's so much eye candy. I definitely had to cheat to beat it.
  14. I'm with you, don't recall it, instead the Baron was calculating his actions so he wouldn't lie to the truth seer. He also didn't have a giant pet spider.
  15. I grabbed this today as an Xmas present for my brother. It was definitely one of our favorite shooters growing up.
  16. Want to see it but don't know if I can make it happen on a Tuesday night.
  17. Everytime I see great fights in Macross I think Itano must be involved. I'm guessing he hasn't been involved in a while.
  18. Yay, been waiting on these to ship my private warehouse.
  19. They are aware that it was an issue so maybe sentinel had implemented some sort of fix.
  20. Those B2Fives do look much better than a simple MegaHouse rehash.
  21. They're B25 Ride Armors. I suspect you just pop the toy apart with a couple hinges and sliding parts and reapply to the figure. So a bit more old school and less prone to breaking (hopefully). They take a lot of cues from the Mega House toys.
  22. The SDF-1 fires its big cannon. Global says something about nazis leaving behind things that didn't seem dangerous, like a pen, that would then blow up when people touched them. The idea is that the SDF-1 would seem destroyed to its pursuers, then they would approach it and it would blow their faces off... like what happens in the episode. So the humans had built up the spaceship but hadn't managed to purge the instruction that told it to fire as soon as certain ships were within range. Holding a smoking pistol that just blew up some visitors is a tough introduction! Edit - the most obvious hint would be a TV SDF-1 in this case since that doesn't happen in DYRL.
  23. Is that related? I thought Breakers was an Aramaki project. Basically, Sentinel invested a lot in these ride armor toys and wanted some help coming up with cool accessories and new variants so they teamed up with Aramaki for some new designs. I think the hope was that there'd be either a new art book or comic to go along with some new toys and accessories. Since the release schedule for the core team was stretched out much further by COVID, the add-on releases were pushed even further out. With all the production concerns right now, it's easy to imagine that this project will be back-burnered for a while. I would guess we'll see a Tread in 2022 and Breakers would be 2023 if at all. Would 2023 be the 40th anniversary? Maybe that's a good time for it.
