    I love those pitch meetings but gotta wait until you watch the movie before you watch the pitch.

    While I would love to see Arcadia go deep with Kawamori's less known designs, it's also more a work of love for them than a business at this point and it's tough to expect them to love the obscure mecha as much as the stuff they also grew up watching. Coming from the ashes of a business that spread itself too thin has to make them extra cautious also.

    My guess: Zendaya said she filmed for like four days so the movie must end with him doing something that establishes himself as the leader of the Fremen but before they strike back at the Harkonnen/emperor. The next movie would be him older, with a newborn, striking back and ending with him becoming emperor. This is one of those things I got into later in life, after lots of people told me "Oh the Dune series is so great!" Honestly, I found it mediocre, completely bogged down by prophesy and messianic meanderings. If I'm right about where the movie splits, it will be kind of funny because the book is such a slow burn up until it gets to that point and what I'm guessing is a second movie seems to go by in a flash when you finally get to those events. This seems like a really dicey time to release this film. It's easy to view the story as racist, some elements as homophobic, and the primary strength of women is sex, weaponizing sex, and making the right babies... some elements may not have aged so well. I'm definitely going to see it in the theaters to see how they handled all the plodding story points and those sticky points above and hopefully get wowed by some visuals.

    I still don't have a permanent spot so mine will be sitting in my private warehouse for a bit. Isn't an Eta reissue coming out too? I'll probably wait until I have both.

    While it's a cool looking bot, there's no way it could be the car. Only the chest, the feet, and the wheel in the back seem to even consider the car. Not for me.

    That looks WAAYYYY too familiar right now. I tried to put a spreadsheet together as I move to chronicle the toys and which boxes they were in... probably tripled the amount of time moving took.

    Kind of a Batra/Sorji (Corg/Sara) call back going on with those visor colors.

    The only thing that throws me with this model is when you see the straight forward shots and there is a space between the abdomen 'ribs'. It feels like that should be solid to me. That said, the space does give it a more organic vibe so I could see where some would like it more that way. Is there line art that shows a void there?

    The Sharon Apple character design sure hasn't aged well in comparison to all the other idols.... though she looks a little creepy so maybe that was the bigger point. What is the purpose of these 3D concert videos? I find them all to be universally awful and think it'd be better to just listen to the music without the computerized marionettes.

    Kevin Smith said season 2 of Revelation was pretty far in production so it seems unlikely it's been scrapped. I imagine this is the show for the kids while Revelation is the show for the old fans.

    That's a pretty complete looking universe there! They teased a VE-1, VT-1, and LowVis.... wonder if they'll ever make 'em.

    HG doesn't pay to have toys made, they demand money from folks who want to make the toys, so they're not going to be any help. If they sell well it might convince B2Five she's with the investment.

    These appear to be reverse engineered from the Mega House toys. Since no Houquet there, no Houquet here? Seems lazy though, all the partsforming should side-step the bigger problems Beagle or Sentinel would face..

    WTF? We went from ScarJo is going to lose (which loses sight of why the suit exists) to ScarJo should sue herself for insurance purposes? I'm glad ScarJo isn't paying MW for legal advice. Maybe we should focus more on talking about super heroes and their movies... that's more up our alley. Speaking of which, the ONE reason I do want to see this film is the talk about how this movie passes the Black Widow torch to her younger sister. I'm sure there will be future Marvel movies I find really interesting so when she suddenly pops up I'd rather be like "Oh fun, it's that girl" instead of "Oh, guess she's the new Black Widow." I've also heard lots of talk about horrible Russian accents. Should Marvel be facing a controversy for not hiring more Russians in this film OR is it okay not to hire Russians because they'll largely be depicted as the bad guys in this film?
