I think the best option is to be there 4pm JST and press F5 if you really want it. I think the MS Nu Gundam sold as quickly as the regular MB Gundams so I would expect the same for the Sazabi.

Apparently the DX version of Cloud (for $160) comes with an NFT of the figure… Source: https://store.na.square-enix-games.com/en_US/product/764037/final-fantasy-vii-bring-arts-action-figure-cloud-strife-digital-plus-edition-action-figure

Macross Plus is the one Macross release I’m least interested in. No that is bad but I’m more interested in Macross II, 7 and Frontier. The way I understand it is that Kawamori had a different setting in mind for the story of Plus that was not Macross. And I think it shows that in a way that it is very atypical for Macross.

I beg to differ on the Minifigs. The fact that the figures are the same as the ones I had as a child is a big draw for me. They are not the most passable but they have enough movement in their joints to be playable. I also think they are small enough to have decent in scale build for them like the Star Wars shops or the Creator Expert houses. The Mega Bloks one are considerably bigger than the Lego figures to allow for the added articulation. I also feel that the Minifig aesthetic fits well into a brick build world and it has it’s own charm.

Captain America looks good. With this my MvC2 collection will be nicely rounded off on the Marvel side with the exception of Rogue I’m pretty happy.

The VF-5000 looks good but I think the head turret looks too bland. I don’t know what the could do to satisfy Kawamori maybe give the face blade a coat of darker green paint. Or a black Outline around the camera glass.

The the dress version is from the FF7 Remake. I have one Play Arts Kai (FF6 Terra) and they are too large for my likings. I prefer my action figures to be in the 6“ scale.

Square Enix is releasing a Cloud in the Bring Arts like that looks close to the line art/high resolution model of Final Fantasy 7. I‘m shocked no one else has reported on it and that it is not sold out yet since it is the toy I always wanted. I hope they do the rest of the playable characters (but I doubt it). I would love to have a Tifa/Yuffi/Vincent in that line since those where my main party members: https://www.hlj.com/final-fantasy-vii-bring-arts-cloud-strife-enx36774 One criticism from me is that Cloud doesn’t come with a screaming face. Since the default one looks blank.

I think the bulbous cockpit on the SD Infinity looks much better. Same goes for the translucent canopy glass. However I like the new ones too. Not sure I want to get into another toy line.

Bobby Skullface reviews MPG Shouki: I think this is a lot of fair criticism. Personally I really dislike the use if clear plastic. In my opinion opaque plastic with translucent black inlets like MMC did for their Vortex would habe been the better choice. I still have this morbid curiosity of what a Takara MP combiner would be after 3rd party went through 3 or 4 generations of combiners already so I look forward to the other 5 Trainbots.- 17369 replies

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread
Scyla replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I came to the conclusion that the big problem of Takara is that they are a toy company first (as in toys for kids) and they just can’t pull of a collectible like specialized companies like Sentinel or Tamashii Nations can, even if they wanted to. Reasoning being that they get shot in the back every time they try because they have to deal with processes put in place for manufacturing kid‘s toys (design, material, pricing, and sourcing constraints ).- 9325 replies

Please don’t take my comment about the A-10 disrespectful. One thing that attracts me to aircraft is that, no matter what purpose they have, they all need to be able to fly thus resulting in a sleek and dynamic machine. A couple of years back I visited the Le Bourget air show and they had a demonstration of the Airbus A380. And while the thing is a massive monstrosity of a man made machine it was still graceful and agile flying its circles in the sky over Paris.

Finished Metroid Dread last weekend (played through it on normal and 100% hard mode). On the one hand it is pretty great. The classic Metroid gameplay is awesome. Graphics are mostly good. Controls very well. Some of the bosses are challenging and fun to avoid their attacks. On the other hand the E.M.M.I. sections of the game don’t work. What I think the developer wants you to do is to sneak through the areas carefully avoiding any contact with the robots. However since the are only patrolling narrowly defined areas and there is no penalty to dying the winning strategy is running through the areas as fast as possible to find the exit. Which works and is faster but super frustrating when you run into a dead end (die since the QTEs to escape them is a game of chance). Not fun at all. I think they did it so that speedrunners can plow through these sections. Oh, and the E.M.M.I. zones look boring as hell once you dispatched them. Also the hard mode is not hard. It is a flat out damage output increase to all the enemies (I think it’s actually doubled) but since you can only play it after the first playthrough you know the mechanics and secrets of the game so it actually felt easier than the first run on normal. I would have loved to see extra boss phases, alternative bosses, an alternative ending etc. There is the one hit kill Dread mode but I think I can’t stomach that since I’m too sloppy playing games now.- 6945 replies

My bad, I have trouble reading expressions. I thought she looked quite happy. [edit:] I didn’t parsed your response properly. Disregard my comment.

It is just a female version of Terry Bogart. It is probably an entry in their Bishoujo line which translates to ‚beautiful girl‘.

With a recent update of the Macross World board software introducing the default iOS/android emojis and placed them above the one that come with this message board software, I noticed that more and more users are using those. However, I really like the other emojis. So I wanted to asked with one of the ones that are „unique“ to MWF is your favorite? Mine is this one: It is a representation of my favorite icon that I often used in the beginning of the Internet when you hadn’t had rendered images. Since I try to take everything said on the Internet lightheadedly, it represents my state of mind the best most of the time. It is also super cute.

The Qan[t] has an LED in his chest. So there would be a precedent. Maybe it is the way they are built and designed. Metal Build for stylized designs, Metal Composite for Katoki Hajime designs, Chogokin for the rest of the high end Gundam action figures. I would appreciate of the Metal Build line ends soon since I’m out of display space.

Got my Metal Build Historia book today. It has a nice double page spread of every release up to the Hi-Nu (who’s pictures are sadly too dark). But the best thing is the extra content in the back of the book with lots of of schematics and technical drawings of the toys as well as information on the painting process and so on. Sadly everything is in Japanese (which I can’t read) so I can just look at the picture.

That looks dope. I think I can’t stomach the price though. My love for Lego is obviously not as strong as I thought it would be.

Does anyone has this Albedo statue: https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1051980# If so, what is the verdict on it? From what I gathered it doesn’t have shading on the hair and wings which could be a big issue given how prominent they are.

Thanks. Yeah, I was scrolling through their availability kits and they seem quite expensive for the size. Are the that expensive because of the custom prints and minifigs? Where are they getting their bricks from? Are they from Lego or another manufacturer?

Neat, do they have an online store that I could stalk?
