  1. As many times as I've seen the comparison shots, it still gets me how night and day the differences are, I can't wait for RVF-25!!!!!!!!!!
  2. So the VF-25S is next, but what after that? When did Bandai release the original RVF-25? I don't remember how all the original valks released and if they're releasing the new ones the same way, but I'm really only interested in the RVF-25, I can't wait for that thing.
  3. What? I'm not faulting anybody, what the hell are you talking about? Please don't try to get all pissy and start up a big argument where we both go back and forth trying to sound as smart and intellectual as possible, while all the while we're talking about plastic toys. Whatever you thought I did, I didn't. just relax I'm not uh, faulting? Anybody or anything.
  4. It's all personal preference man relax, I've been wanting a VF-4 since as far back as I can remember. I' rather have a beautiful uh, fan-wank valk, than a fat ugly flying turd. There is no doubt in my mind the VF-17 will be a fantastic figure, the SDF-1, the VF-19, all of Yamato's new stuff has been incredible, and I'm glad they're finally getting around to making valks fans have been wanting for ages. Oh and I personally don't see the VF-19 as that fat, I mean c'mon, the VF-17 is a flying triangle.
  5. I know it's right next to Christmas but I haven't gotten anything for myself in a long while, seeing as how I'm single again I'm gonna have an extra couple hundred bucks this holiday season . I gave in and finally got vermilion squadron, Kakizaki and Max TV 1A's, and of course a grey goggle version Hikaru 1J, oh yea!!!!!!
  6. I like plenty of stuff, hell I might one day be tempted to get a VF-17, if I see the right paint scheme, for the most part it's just too fat a valk for me to like, when I think valkyrie I think sleek, and slender. But like I said if I see the right version I might get it. I'll be honest, I usually hate everything Yamato does because I've been screwed by them many, many times, yet I got an SDF-1 and the VF-19 Kai, this has always been and always will be a hit and miss company for me. Oh and I personally don't think this thing is anywhere near worth the price, more than the Kai with what, half the gimmicks? Like everyone else said, nobody truly knows what it costs to make these things, every project is different. To each his own though, I know Graham and many others have been dying for this thing, all I've wanted for the past 5 years has been a VF-4, until it does get announced, with a $400 price tag
  7. I knew if I tossed out the tiniest little bit of dislike towards this thing people would try to downplay my opinion, yes it was my opinion, it's ugly, the color, the mold, everything to me. And like I said if I perhaps saw it in another scheme, oh yea that means color scheme people, then I might like it. I don't know, I'm still a little ticked that Yamato would make this fat ugly mess before they tried their hand at putting out a VF-4, maybe that will be next on the line after they milk the hell out of this mold.
  8. Damn, that thing is looking quite ugly. Maybe with a different scheme that mold would look good, but wow, just wow. And what is it gonna cost? Yamato's gotta make it more expensive then the fire valk, golden rule for them most of the time is to keep upping the price for every new mold. This is an easy pass for me, I still need a sound booster for my fire valk, and of course, save for Bandai's eventual release of the RVF-25 renewal version.
  9. The VF-25 looks pretty nice but I'm waiting for the inevitable RVF-25, that aside there's a ton of games coming out starting in October that are far more important than more shelf warming toys.

    Storing Toys

I fortunately have a walk-in closet in my guest room, and please believe that bitch is filled to the top with tons of different sized boxes. As some have said already, before I moved to my new apartment and had more room, I stored as much as I could under my bed, 1/48 boxes fit perfectly under my bed frame.
  11. I'd say no you shouldn't, my roommate got 2 of the older 1/60 variants and they both pretty much sucked. I'd say just wait, yamato just released the new vf-19 mold so new yf-19s can't be that far off.
  12. I am soooo glad I never dropped a dime on any of the original releases, I'm personally gonna wait until they release the RVF-25 as it's the only version of the VF-25 that I think looks decent.
  13. You know I was thinking about this same topic the other day. I thought damn, I spent a ton on these figures, what if I ever wanted to sell them? Am I screwing myself? I have friends come over and ask about different stuff in my collection, then they ask about the prices I paid for some, and they usually call me a moron. It hit me the other day, I really don't give a poo what they're actually worth, what they will be worth, or whatever, I got them for me, I'm a damn nerd and I love it. I really don't see what collector's like us should be contemplating, I'm sure maybe a couple people bought their valks as investments, to sell later, but for the majority we don't plan on selling anything unless we fall on hard times, so basically I see no real purpose in giving anything in my collection a price tag or value.

    HLJ Yamato Sale!!!

I'm gonna get my friend a cannon fodder 1A for his B-day, for that much off I can't let it pass. I wish HLJ still carried the 1/24 Ingram Unit 2 that things impossible to find now except for ebay.
  15. Eh, I may get an RVF-25 whenever it's released, that's the only decent looking version of the VF-25 to me.
  16. Oh nice I couldn't find anyone else that had a pre-order for it, I'm gonna cancel mine on ebay and switch to this with money left over for when leader ironhide drops!
  17. Ebay is about it as far as I know, it was exclusive so I doubt retail stores will have it, you can also check out tokyohunter, I'm sure he can find one.
  18. I unfortunately had to use evilbay, only $330USD shipped. It was a seller I've purchased from before so I think I'll be okay.
  19. Well I gave in and pre-ordered an SDF-1 kit, I didn't buy the toy version due to the price, and the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the DYRL version. I'm thinking I'll paint it TV colors, take the attachment pegs for the armds, and custom make my own Prometheus and Daedalus, then attach it to the armd pegs and have a hybrid DRYL/TV SDF-1. With that said, that's pretty much my toy budget until a tiny bit I can get together for Christmas.
  20. I remember a few months back we started a new thread discussing the idea of a hi-metal VF-25 and if it would sell, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Like I said I'd be okay with the YF-21 being the last release in this line, do I want it to be the last release? Hell no, I love this line to death, and I would kill to see releases that haven't been done in any other line, VF-4, VF-17, I'd also like to see Bandai pick up on their old 1/100 part swap VF-0 that was planned and recreate it in the hi-metal line.
  21. Okay well times change people, kids aren't into toys, it's all about the internet, kids mature faster than they used to, and for some reason Call of Duty rules the world. Moving on, I would really like to see the YF-21 at least get finished, I mean if they had to wrap up the line, I'd be okay with the 21 being the closer.
  22. Okay well FYI I could care less about the blacklist or other people's reviews, I've never had a problem in my five or so years of ordering from them, so I gave my opinion, be a dick somewhere else I was trying to help.
  23. FYI angolz.com has this guy now in stock for $242.00USD, I've personaly ordered from angolz many, many times and they're very good, much better overall than HLJ.
  24. Alright I shooped this guy blue and covered that goofy face, I'm ready for the blazer now.
  25. This is probably my favorite valk after my SV-51 Ivanov, it's gorgeous, sturdy, and has the coolest heat shield conversion ever.
