  1. I'd NEVER get a 1/60 yf-21/vf-22, or yf-19/vf-19, they're probably my least favorite designs, but, if some smaller scale hi-metals were released I might be game. I know I know we have the blazer and the fire but I hate both of those schemes and the fire valks goofy megazord face, but a hi-metal mac plus yf 21 and 19, oh yea.
  2. I really don't want any more macross stuff for now, I'm trying to expand my collection. I just ordered a 1/24 Patlabor command car from hlj though, I also got a unit 1 ingram from low-alt right here on MW, now if hlj had a 1/24 unit 2 ingram on sale, it would be all mine.
  3. My roommate still hasn't received his, I told him not to use ebay, I've had paint and gundam markers ready for weeks.
  4. My roommate just got his, it took forever but I guess that's cause he actually ended up using ebay. No arguing the detail is good, but the unpainted, pain in the ass to get out city bugs me. Still hoping for a TV release.
  5. Yea people shouldn't have to do all that to get to the city, it should have come painted or at least came detachable......
  6. I'm not really hating, it's detailed yes, but yamato could have at least lightly painted the city or at least made it removable so it would be more accessible to fans who want to paint it themselves. And don't joke about the arms, this is yamato we're talking about.
  7. What? Why the heck would you blow money on a 1/3000 sdf-1 when you've got that AMAZING 1/2000?
  8. The more I look over it the more I think yamato cheaped out once again. The overall paint is okay I guess, but come on, they could have did some minor paint detail on macross city, instead they shipped it flat back? If they didn't want to paint it they could have made the city removable so it would be easier to color the backdrop and the city ourselves, yamato really dropped the ball yet again. I was eyeballing one of these on ebay but every time I look at it then the price I get urked, so I just ordered a hot toys 1/6 dark knight dx-02. I'm still looking forward to a possible TV release, but I'm just really not okay with how they handled this one.
  9. Ah easy pass, the quarter looks like a giant robot on a water slip n slide, that aside I don't like frontier stuff. My roommate got a 1/3000 sdf-1 apparently, I may repaint it and some tiny valks from my personal collection.
  10. My roommate just texted me, apparently he got one of these and has at on the way to our apartment already, from HLJ no less, I didn't even know he knew about that site let alone shopped there. Now I don't even have to buy one, our toy displays are mixed against one wall, nice!
  11. It looks good, but I still want a TV version, the thing I'm still wondering is why the HELL did yamato do a DRYL version first? I think the popular vote would easily go to TV, so now we have to wait on the sales of this thing to see if we will even get a later released TV version, ah yamato.....
  12. Oh no it's a classic matchbox diecast beast, I usually look for buy it nows but this auction had only 7 bidders and it was below a hundred bucks, here in the states, new, and ending in four minutes from when I spotted it! Good timing, anyhow it's diecast which I've never painted but first comes more detailing, I'll treat it like my classic star destroyer models.
  13. Speak of the devil, I just won an auction for a new in box matchbox sdf-1, it's the TV version, it's new, and I got it for only $80 after shipping. I'm gonna repaint and maybe customize it with some styrene pieces like I did all my star destroyer models.
  14. For valks yes, but I still don't have a good sdf-1, and I think that'll pretty much complete my macross collecting next the to hi-metal bandai line.
  15. I'm still holding out hoping for a TV version, the difference is that big to me, and I'm still not convinced that I'd be getting my money's worth for about $400 after shipping for this thing.
  16. After shipping I paid $77, so not too bad at all, enjoy! I think this is a great figure.
  17. Why does everyone want an M&M version of almost every valk out there? I love the 1J's, I personally hate the 22S, but 4G's, 19's? Really?
  18. Damn I've already got a 1/24 ingram on the way, but I also just ordered a 1/144 super hcm pro red comet zaku, couldn't pass it up.
  19. 1/24 ingram Alphonse on the way, that's about it for me and Christmas, I already got a red mario wii, more airsoft crap, and now this silk encased figure, god damn....
  20. I already contacted HLJ about it, they said they'll be able to send me one but it's such a small damn piece, but on the other hand I am still pissed I got two of the same piece so I'm gonna have them contact bandai and have them send me it. Overall I'm very happy with this 1S, it's VERY solid, and the small updates to the mold and the stiffer joints makes this one of my favorite valks.
  21. Oh and on a darker and lighter note, first off the 1J looks pretty damn sweet with the super parts on him, but the 1J backpack is MUCH weaker than the 1S so it doesn't stay up very well in battroid. That aside when I got my 1S I received 2 left side open intakes, so yea that kind of sucks.
  22. I just noticed something, the hi-metal 1J's pilot is VERY small, my 1S Roy looks proportionate so I guess they fixed this for future releases, I can't believe I never really noticed before it makes Hikaru look tiny.
  23. Hm I might pick up a 1/24 ingram Alphonse while I can, this is the cheapest it will probably ever be. The blue one however, looks kind of tacky.
  24. Exactly, besides I thought the intakes had to be removed on V2 yamato valks as well.
  25. Yea but adversely screw yamato, I've bought enough crap overpriced products for them to not really care if I have to swap a heatshield or intakes on a superior figure, I've NEVER gotten anything bad from bandai, this is just my opnion of course so take it easy on me people.
