  1. I'd argue, no. Other than the doe-eyes the Hasbro figure looks more like Hamil IMO. The rest of the Hasbro figure seems proportioned better too. I like the Figuarts Vader. No contest how much better it is than the awful Hasbro sculpt. I feel like neither this nor the Hasbro sculpt are very good, but Hasbro's body looks a bit better.
  2. Huh, I really don't like the way that Luke looks.
  3. Yeah, and in a spectacular bout of classic NOA stupid they're only releasing the XL model in North America even though most reviews everywhere else say the smaller version was the superior one. Plus they changed the attractive Blue from the rest of the planet to a horrible Red.
  4. I've been thinking about this. If the next thing they release is the 0S they're absolutely not going to mention it until after the 0D is sold/paid for. They're going to wait and see how many bite on the 0D before cannibalizing their own sales if it's another of the Valks from Zero.
  5. What do you mean with or without the lower triangle fit?
  6. I watched every one when they first aired. And I was in college at the time. You'd think 19 year old me would have marked each and every see thru anything at that time.
  7. By pre-order do you mean not as a general release but pre-order only?
  8. Already done last night so I guess we'll see.
  9. Well I had no idea. And given nobody else is restocking the only thing I can hope is that EVERYBODY hates Play-Asia enough they can get a few in and actually deliver.
  10. I didn't know there were any problems with Play-Asia. Bummer.
  11. Give them a break, they're a tiny shop and they need to stay afloat. Remember, Mr K originally said if sales could be completely ignored he'd be all over the rare Valks like the VF-9. The desire is there, but they have to stay afloat. I'm honestly not sure how much desire there is for M&M's by anyone but the people on this board. Maybe, because there isn't a flood of VF-1's anymore they would be more likely to sell out.
  12. This is what we call "rubbing it in."
  13. He's obviously an ass-man. Hard to tell what is going on in the trailer there. It could just be clever splicing but it seems like Tony might actually be fighting the Hulk of his own volition.
  14. If you could pull that off I'd be VERY interested in what she had to say. Back on topic, singing casting should provide interesting details but not being an idol fan the story and valks are really more my thing.
  15. I don't even care if it isn't merchandise, this is going in one of the Star Wars threads because it's awesome. http://www.boredpanda.com/death-star-metal-firepit-grandpa-gift/
  16. Oh no, man! Hopefully not, it looks like an awesome piece too.
  17. It kind of looks like Bandai has really clamped down on the numbers for this release.
  18. Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried this out and unfortunately it did not go as I'd planned. I had no experience with a grinder and not only did most of the surface get smoothed out but I ground a bit into the diecast as well...
  19. I have an extra VF-1J with a questionable shoulder around specifically for my nephew to play with if he wants. Doesn't matter if it breaks really.
  20. I'd be all over a Battle 7 and SDFM SDF-1. I want the capitol ships so hard and unfortunately the only two we've got between Yamcadia/Bandai are the two I really don't like at all. DYRL SDF-1 and the Quarter are weaker designs imo. I pray you're wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. Given both the the YF-19 and 0D were already in the planning stages at Yamato they were the cheapest to make given some early engineering was already done. Anything beyond this gets more expensive.
  21. Jenius is right, barring the 171CF fiasco there has never been any widespread issues and a few defects are bound to happen (unfortunately.) Pretty cool Yeti hooked him up so fast.
