We still need to face the idea that not even NY could have any of these left-over. It has happened in the past, regardless of how we might feel about their market pricing tactics. I'm still skeptical there will be any available at release.

Being a Gerwalk guy I actually like the look on this thing (it is just a VF-1 all fancied up anyway.) I know some proportions need to be accounted for but the entire back section is just wrong. The intake needs to sit along the spine of the craft and be shorter. The two smaller side intakes need to sit on the back of the craft as well, not propped up on thick pylons with giant, ugly hinges. The back should actually be longer but I can understand having to shorten it up for practical transforming purposes. There's a lot of weird proportional stuff going on, and Nyankodevice has already proven you can make it work with far more accurate proportions at a smaller scale (1/100) on a modified model kit. I hope they fix it. I've wanted a 2SS... but I don't want this one right now.

Does anybody know anything about the quality of this toy company? The more I look at it the less I like Gerwalk. There are several things about the joints, and those super thick pauldrons holding up the smaller intakes on top, that kind of worry me.

Not to rain on your parade, but we don't even know if it will be available upon release. Pre-orders sold out in a minute or less and no new stock has been added to any websites over that time. Either their all holding back or Bandai is under-producing this one even more than their Frontier stuff. There are still people on this message board who were never able to pin down a 25G.

I'm interested. THough at this stage it doesn't look as good as our boy Nyan's modification of of the old Bandai Kit in the Models section.

I just can't see this being very good, though the bit with the toy train hitting them was pretty funny. And Yellow Jackets suit does look really awesome.

I see nothing wrong with this. Fox isn't distributing this anymore, so it had to be changed.

My book arrived this morning. Very interesting that it's bound and written the opposite, even if that is the way they do it in Japan. Not nearly as many photos (for those of us who can't read and just like to look at the pictures) but I do have to say that the CG artists are getting damn good at integrating the CG models with the background photos. These are the best photos of all the MF books. And so many awesome pics of the Ariel YF-19 too!

I wish Arcadia would put up a poll about favorite non-cannon schemes and just post, we need X-many pre-orders for this to happen and then and then do some internet only schemes. Just to test the waters.

Oh yeah, missing the DYRL CF as well... The TV Max 1A really looks best in Battroid. Though I have to say that once you have a Max 1J you pretty much always feel like it's incomplete without Milia's 1J sitting next to it. They're never seen separate in the show.

While the use of the half metal/half plastic ball is odd that's only two cases we've heard of. Not quite an epidemic yet. That being said, I've never pulled mine out.

I have 20 VF-1's as well. As far as I can tell I'm only missing the VT-1, the CF 1J and Kaki's SDFM 1A.

I'm still waiting on my book here. It's been sitting in LA customs since Sunday. LA Customs must employ the laziest jack-asses.

But we've always known that some of these characters would work better as TV serials anyway? We've discussed at length how Spider-Man would be the ultimate TV serial if it weren't for the fact his powers make him impossible to do on a small-screen budget, Daredevil is more lucky in that regard.

Too bad that isn't an official Macross fighter. An upgraded VF-1 with the forward swept wings looks good and I'd want a toy of it.

We have no idea. Supposedly these new VF-1's have gone through some sort of redesign but nobody has seen anything of that.
