  1. I still have the feeling that there's too much "old school" thinking going on in another supposedly multi-billion dollar project. I imagine a rocket distributing a swarm of small, disposable recon drones, doing the same job at lower systemic costs.
  2. These 1/8 figures where printed & colored in one process, with the greyscale shading drawn directly from the 3D-scan: Shown at a 2011 exposition in Milan by german artist Karin Sander. This also works with colors, but I find the b/w versions even more interesting.
  3. The article seems to neglect Magneto, wether played by Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender. A very powerful and ambiguous character in the movies, brought to live by talented actors.
  4. I don't understand the need for a hypersonic military aircraft. Why not just put the payload on a bunch of missiles?
  5. Hasegawa does not want to change the runners of their existing 1:48 Valkyrie and so they include the different leg parts in the runners for the FAST packs. They do that in other aircraft kits all the time.
  6. My personal gold standard for a detailed Monster is still Fernando's build of the 1/160 ARII kit. After all the years, the pics are still available in this gallery: http://webspace.webring.com/people/fa/amaclub/emgallery.html You might have to turn off Javascript to get rid of the pesky Webring overlay.
  7. Looks like a sequence that was cut from Sucker Punch...
  8. Any pics of pre-released kits on japanese modeler's blogs?
  9. I just stumbled across this great diorama by Sparrow: http://mini-sparrow.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2012/05/frx-00-ffr-41mr.html
  10. Now that's a really nice Star Destroyer you have there!
  11. Starring Scarlett Johansson as an alien life form that travels through Scotland to seduce random men and then kill them. Don't know if this even sees a wide release, but the trailer evokes some nice Lynch/Asian Horror Cinema moments.
  12. The Zero looks spectacular. Please try to get some sharper photos of it to do it justice. Good luck with the biplanes.
  13. Cool conversion and very good job on the weathering, it reminds me of the old Imai box illustrations.
  14. Hobbylink.tv has a detailed photo report on the Anubis kit. Mine should arrive for christmas. http://www.hobbylink.tv/non-scale-anubis-by-kotobukiya-part-1-unbox http://www.hobbylink.tv/non-scale-anubis-by-kotobukiya-part-2-review
  15. It looks like the fantasy team-up of Mamoru Oshii and Chris Cunningham that never happened. There are some more scenes in the old trailer. Mechanical designs by the guys behind District 9 and Elysium's stuff: http://www.skul4aface.blogspot.de/ http://gregbroadmore.blogspot.de/2013/10/keloid-ii-extreme-robot-fappage.html
