    In the movie "Lebanon" (see above), the camera doesn't leave the tank for the whole movie - except for one crucial moment.

    It's my impression that a tank is a very bad place to be in in a conflict. You're basically a big, relatively slow moving target, and there's all kind of high- to low-tech stuff out there to kill you.

    To be honest, the live action Yamato movie looked like a fan project. Maybe it would have worked as an animated feature, but even if you're accustomed to the japanese over-acting, it was hard to watch. Yamato deserves a better adaption.

    It will look fine in Abrams' Apple Store Enterprise Bridge. "The iTrooper 7c now comes in a variety of fashionable colors and increased accuracy of fire..." Makes you wonder why the Rebels are still flying around in some rusty junk pieces.

    Another option would be to give it a flat coat and then slightly polish it with a cloth dipped in graphite powder - instant nano machine finish!
