Put in some time on my Cylon Raider this weekend. Ready to have this thing finished. It needs some weathering of some sort but I'm calling it quits on the painting. FYI--Starship Modeler NOW has vinyl painting masks for this kit. BUY THEM! I wish they would have been out before I started painting this...oh well..maybe I'll do another one someday.

Time for a 1:72 FM Falcon update! Been gluing hundreds of tiny parts on for the last few months and am now happy to report that all upper and lower hulls and sidewalls are complete and everything is primed and pretty much ready for some pre-shading!

LOL. Don't get me wrong--I'd cruise it 'till the tires fell off!

AMEN to all of that! I did forget to mention that a VERY highpoint of the film IMHO was Fassbender's performance! He is one of my newest favorite actors. -

The Blue Beta which is my only one, I paid $150 for when it came out. I LOVE it. No, it's not a Yamato product, but it does what it does! Looks big and imposing and doesn't crumble into dust...Was thinking about picking up the green and the red now, which the red can be had for like $70 around the net. The green is harder to come by for less than $150ish or more now. I wouldn't pay over $100 for one personally at this point.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
derex3592 replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Picked up the original Southern Cross and Mospeada series to watch over my vacation in a couple of weeks. Never seen anything except the origanal Robowreck versions of those. Should be pretty cool I hope! -
FAIL. I would have LOVE to seen all the Zent and Melt baddies done in 1:60 scale!

AWESOME! Can't wait to get to mine! It's next on my build list! And YES, in responce to the Beta question. All 3 are solid toys. Vast impovements over the Alpha's. The two together are an impressive sight on a shelf!

I'll 3rd that! Testors Spray cans SUCK. Tamiya are better, however....Do yourself the biggest favor of your life! Save your money and buy an airbrush/compressor man. Doesn't have to be some $300 Iwata....just something other than spray cans. PLEASE! for the love of all!

we MOSPEADA fans are more than likely never gonna see another Beta in our lifetime....Might as well love what we got I'm afraid. At least it was a pretty solid release from Toynami. Glad it didn't suffer from Alpha-itus....

haha--I remember that thread. Good times. I'm glad said individual never attempted a 1:10 Beagle MOSPEADA transformation! LOL!

I have the Double Nuts version and it isn't a floppy mess. Gun pod is straight, no problems after several transformations. Granted it's no Fire Valk...but it still looks good to me.

Found me a VF-X at BBTS online. Here are some before and after shots. Panel lines and stickers done. I took some liberty with the stickers and just had some fun as there is not a lot of reference line art. Enjoy.. -
ALASKA BASE all day long dude!

Be aware however----if those are the ones I ordered a few years back they are NOT pre-cut. Meaning you have to cut each one out individually before you dip it in water. Just FYI.
