  1. "don't get cocky"...as Han Solo would say....It's not a hard kit...EXCEPT the part of getting the two halves together. You have to use epoxy and as the pieces are tapered, it AINT easy...just a fair warning...I snapped about the front inch and half of the nose OFF while trying to get it together for the epoxy to set. Just FYI....and I hope you like sanding and puttying. LOL.
  2. That is just to cool for school man...great job!
  3. . Sad but true..this would be precisely the reason I have ZERO Invids...

  9. the first time it is referred to as the "Beast" is actually in Season 2 an episode or two after "Scar"..."The Captain's Hand", I think was the name. I only know this because the GF and I just happened to watch that episode last night...(she's watching the entire series with me)..yes...she's frackin awesome! anywhooo...in other news!....back on topic...about 100 or so parts in on the FM 1:72 Falcon and only about 5 gazillion more to go...however..over the weekend got a lot done on the upper side of the engine bay area including my resin fans and PE grills test fitted.
  10. any chance of a 1:60 version in the future perhaps????? I'll bet there would be a LOT of taker's on that around here...
  11. Looks good!!! There was a Gnerl resin kit made by I believe the "Cap'n" here on the forums years ago. There are pics somewhere around....The only other kits are the resin scout ship..which comes in two scales..both are for sale over at Starship Modeler. And then there is the PICKLE! (as my gf lovingly named it)..a resin kit made by a guy in Australia. Don't know if he still makes it or not. His company is called Scale Solutions. He has a website. Nice guy, name's Wayne.
  12. the "Beast" is the Battlestar Pegasus. Noob..
  13. Holy crap that Galactica is A-FRACKING-MAZING!!! ---there..I said it..somebody had to...

  18. Just so I can feel the hatred from you guys for when I talked myself into picking these up for a good discount in a X-mas sale the year they came out....
  19. I TRIED SO hard to find that 1:72 kit. But no luck!
  20. Thanks! LOL---Yamato's 1:60 Ver 2's make up my VF-1 squadron....they're not in scale with all the pods...but mehhh...close enough.
  21. Speaking off getting off butts and finishing things....finally added decals and some weathering and am calling 1:100 Mr. Glaug done. This kit is horrible. DO not attempt unless you are like WM Chang level. LOL. It sucks. Old kit, but after all my setbacks, it turned out OK in my opinion. At least I have a Glaug. ..... Toynami/Yamato...
  22. WOW! Looks great! I didn't wash mine either..I like the pristine look and also it looks more like the thing looked in the show. Great Job!!!
  23. duuude! If you're watching BSG---you GOTTA build a Moebius Galactica! Fan Racer is looking good! and to answer your question--yes--darker colors are easier to paint with than lighter colors--Also----and this is MY opinion only---if you want it to cover quicker and easier--try Model Master Enamels and keep the Tamiya Acrylics for airbrushing. just my .02. Just noticed the whole thing was clear out of the box! mine was grey plastic..hmm...
  24. That Garfish looks pretty damn cool! ,,,,if it were like $50 ish bucks I'd bite.
