Finished my 1/720 Bug Eye Scout. Tried every trick I know to get the 30+ year old decals to come off the sheet but had no luck so I'm going with this is as it looks more anime accurate! Pretty proud of this turning out as well as it did considering the 30 year old cheap dime store plastic! There were more than a couple of unplanned breaks....enjoy!

Does anyone know why Robotech was dropped off Netflix this week? It was nice to be able to pull it up on my iPad to check mecha for model building quickly....strange!.... -

Thought I would share some pics of this over here in the toy forum since it is a toy technically. This was my first ever attempt at modifying a Yamato Valk that involved major re-painting. It wasn't to bad, but I still give mad props to those guys who have built the kit version. I can say just after doing this little bit I would never attempt it. This was a Kaki TV version I picked up "before the fall" for $98 shipped. Enjoy...

Tamiya tape man! It's hard to find locally, but order it online, Different widths. It's perfect for masking models and toys. :-)

and.....DONE! I think it turned out good! And no ..I didn't go back and try to repaint the rear fins like Valk Addict did! I figured get out while I was ahead! All panel lines done and each and every single sticker trimmed, and gun strap/ anniversary parts added.

Mac7 isn't bad....just a little different and takes like 15 episodes to start getting good. Ya just kinda gotta go with it and you end up liking it...at least I did.

Looks amazing! Congrats on finishing! I'm just painting a TV Kaki green--and I seriously applaud people who actually built that kit! Good catch on the green on the tail fins!! I missed that!!! <----------------- ...grumbles as he returns to the paint bench.....

My first Yamato product ever purchased was the Roy 1:48 DYRL. At the time I thought it was the coolest thing on earth. That was before the 1:60ver.2 came along. It's the only 1:48 I have and I almost put it up for sale right before the "Great Panic of 2013". But it's in the box in the closet now along with it's super/strike parts and GBP armor, so I think I'll just let it kinda hang out there for now.

Well here's the results..... Still bit of cleanup to do on the legs and gotta spray the knees and the top of the legs but other than....Im calling it a win so far!!!! In case you're wondering, it's Model Master Medium Green enamel.
