  1. and.....DONE! I think it turned out good! And no ..I didn't go back and try to repaint the rear fins like Valk Addict did! I figured get out while I was ahead! All panel lines done and each and every single sticker trimmed, and gun strap/ anniversary parts added.
  2. Mac7 isn't bad....just a little different and takes like 15 episodes to start getting good. Ya just kinda gotta go with it and you end up liking it...at least I did.
  3. I dunno.......it's kinda like that girl you go on a date with that requires a couple of beers before you get to her house.... I'm not totally hatin on it!
  4. Looks amazing! Congrats on finishing! I'm just painting a TV Kaki green--and I seriously applaud people who actually built that kit! Good catch on the green on the tail fins!! I missed that!!! <----------------- ...grumbles as he returns to the paint bench.....
  5. Xuron 410 micro shear. Pricey....but worth their weight in solid gold!!! Best hobby tool I've ever bought.
  6. tell me about it.....stupid job.
  7. that's gonna look SUH-WEET!
  8. The prices of Yamato's now remind me of just one line from Spaceballs...."LUDICROUS SPEED...GOOOOO!"
  9. My first Yamato product ever purchased was the Roy 1:48 DYRL. At the time I thought it was the coolest thing on earth. That was before the 1:60ver.2 came along. It's the only 1:48 I have and I almost put it up for sale right before the "Great Panic of 2013". But it's in the box in the closet now along with it's super/strike parts and GBP armor, so I think I'll just let it kinda hang out there for now.
  10. Well here's the results..... Still bit of cleanup to do on the legs and gotta spray the knees and the top of the legs but other than....Im calling it a win so far!!!! In case you're wondering, it's Model Master Medium Green enamel.
  11. Great day for turning things GRREEEEEN!!!
  12. Woooooooooooow
  13. Well as usual I've decided to do more than I planned...filling screw holes in the legs with putty...and I'm sorry, but rant mode on...I HATE tamiya putty. It is horrible in my opinion. Cheap spackling is so much nicer to work with. That is all.
  14. Meh....I gave up on the arms. Thanks for the tip on the leg fins Chonic. I'm thinking this far is fine as I haven't broken anything yet! Let the masking begin! I'll put up some pics later today
  15. Well this took like 3 minutes..lol... Can't quite figure out the elbow getting the arm off part yet......
  16. GIANT +1 on that!
  17. I actually went a shade darker than all my Zent, Capital Ships.. I used Model Master Dark Green instead of my usual Model Master Interior Green. I figured as a recon vessel it would be darker. Also, it looks more anime accurate to me.
  18. This is AWESOME! If my 1/720 build goes south I may have to get one!
  19. soooooo wanna buy that like NOW!!!
  20. Agreed! This is gonna be totally BAD-ASS!
  21. Awesome !! EXO ! Thanks. Might be PMing you for guidance over the weekend.
  22. Spent some time at the paint bench over the last couple weekends. After a couple of setbacks, I think it looks good!
  23. OK..so I've decided to try to keep this VERY simple and just airbrush green over the light tan on a brand new Kaki TV version I got a few days ago. My question is to all you smart guys around here. is there a way to disassemble the Valk to make the painting easier??? (or has anybody tried this around here?, I know people have taken apart the arms enough to get to the bad pins)...Or is it just better to try to mask it all and hope for the best???? Thanks for the help!
