  1. Ohhhh...please just make it!!!!
  2. That is just amaze-balls. Plain and simple. Great work!!!
  3. If I could only go back in time and buy a case of them! Oh well. Glad I got my one at the time of release. One of my all time favs!
  4. Missile/thruster packs!
  5. Today's fun was clear blue acrylic for the eyeball and I'm also trying something new for the cockpit glass. It looks gloss black in the anime, but I thought a dark tint would be cooler, so I'm trying many, many, many coats of Tamiya smoke. We'll see how things turnout. Also got the leg side panels masked and painted green. Boring so no pic. EDIT! This afternoon I looked at my screen caps of the mecha and those leg parts were supposed to be orange!!! DOHH!!! . Back we go to the workbench to have a paint thinner/toothbrush party!
  6. Aye Cap'n! First test of orange and green parts together. Gorgeous! Also detailed orange chest parts with black Micron pen.

    Hi-Metal R

All of these are SO bought!!!
  8. Today we are turning things green!!! Had to iris way up to see it. Looks fantastic in person.
  9. If you can swing it, get a double action brush. Your world will open up to a whole new level of possibilities!!! I was nervous going from my old Model H to a double action Paasche which I have used for about 4 years now, and I have done some amazing jobs with it and never looked back. The Iwata stuff is even better. Kinda like going from a Chevy (nice, dependable)...to a Lexus.(VERY nice and dependable).
  10. So here's tonight's fun...yes, I'm cheating on the side 2 because I don't have enough adapters, but you get the idea. That back arm with Ozma is about at it's tight limit and not to happy, but it seems to be holding after another careful tightning up....and no, it won't fit in any display case..but it looks cool!
  11. I had a Paasche H i used for over 20 years and I do remember it doing that quite a bit. It speckled on me a lot, and I really only use it now for clearcoats sometimes.
  12. Air pressure, temperature and especially humidity and paint mixture can all play a part in your airbrush spitting paint and getting all kinds of unwanted effects. Do you have a moisture trap in line and a compressor with a regulator on it?
  13. Cool!
  14. Crying shame Clarkson will never get to have a go in this and review it on Top Gear...
  15. Today's lesson boys and girls is why you should NOT try to take shortcuts. Woke up...thought.."why not just spray paint some of the small orange parts for Mr. King Crabb?, that'll be quick and easy!". Went outside, grabbed spray paint and 4 parts and sprayed them. Mistake. Orange Peel alllll up in my orange paint. The rest of the afternoon was spent stripping the paint and primer down to the resin, re-sanding, re-primering (twice) and THEN at 8PM tonight going back and doing it the RIGHT way. Decant orange spray paint into glass jar. Put paint directly into new badass airbrush, spray. DONE. Absolutely perfect paint job. Here endeth the lesson.
  16. As a kid who grew up in the 80's, I loved all airplanes especially military, Top Gun, Iron Eagle, Robotech, GIJoe, Transformers, whatever...didn't matter. My dad (RIP) always took me to the airshow at the Air Force base here in Fort Worth. Over the past months I have been scanning all his old pics and I thought I would share the air show pics with you guys. The 80's...when there were bad Russians and the planes were just.....better!
  17. Some Luca love on a cloudy grey Sunday...and a group shot! Only missing that pesky elusive blue sniper guy.....
  18. I really enjoyed part 1! Looking forward to part two.
  19. Those are awesome!!! ....with or without the hair. Hahaha!
  20. I had one 1:48 Roy. It was my first ever Yamato product. It was extremely cool for it's day. However, once the 1:60V2's hit their stride I was super glad I didn't sink money into anymore 1:48's. Battroid looked a bit wrong, the flaps were cool but fell off, the joints got loose quick and the overall size was just a bit big for me. I kept Roy for a long time, but finally sold him off about a year ago. I will always remember the good times as he was my first PT high end Valk, but I haven't missed him really.
