I'm going to polish up the back part of the blue part as much as possible, I may try the aluminum foil idea...thanks Electric Indigo. Sadly Cap, I have zero practice or skills to try lighting a normal kit, much less a resin one. I will leave that to one of the true masters lurking around here. More updates later this weekend hopefully!

It's gonna be super light pink or gunship grey when you finally get it in hand... ...either way...it won't be the grey pictured there.

well damn, there goes my summer side business to fund end of summer vacation by offering to paint people's Arcadia white head goggles grey...

This has been a battle..... , shame the blue will only be seen with a camera flash, but hey, at least I'll know it looks good!

Cool! Patiently waiting!

Any further updates on the 1:60 design?

Yeh.... I had a chance to snag the set from a fellow member here, never transformed. I pulled the trigger. As I don't have any Tornado parts, I figure one set on the 25G would be sweet to have.

Snagged a 25G with super and tornado parts today! Finally! Should be fun! He was the only one I was missing.

Hahaha, I was wondering if anybody saw that....no, it was a gift from a buddy of mine in the reserves. It's vegetarian, which makes it even worse. LOL.

Avengers: Age of Ultron, in theaters May 1, 2015
derex3592 replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Went last night and saw this in non 3D. Thank goodness for that. All the action scenes are very fast and just really hard to watch even in 2D. Reminded me a lot of the transformers movies. Couldn't even tell what has happening at some points. Aside from that, the CG stuff was kinda crappy IMHO. Other than that, I really liked the movie itself. Better than the first I spose, or at least as good. The one thing I really missed was Tom Hiddleston. He really owns the Loki character, and brings a lot to the bad guy role. Spader was good as Ultron, and I enjoyed the twins. The mind control girl is freaking hot. And awesome.- 398 replies

I could totally see putting like 4 to 6 on a Yetistand "tree" and still fitting it in a display cabinet, can't do that with 1:60 stuff

Didn't grab this kit, but WOW! amazing work John! Details on this kit are just like...wooow...
-
AWESOME! I'm so glad to see someone other than me working on John's kits around here! Resin is a different breed to work with. It's ALL in the parts prep before painting! Can't wait to see more progress on this.

I was asleep. oh well. I might snag one at time of release maybe, or just wait for the Destoids and bad guys.

that yellowed canopy looks horrible IMHO. Glad I stuck with my original Yammy.

I decided to waste some printer ink tonight and try this out. Took about 5 minutes of searching the net to find some pretty SWEET printable runways! This is my first test on high quality photo paper out of my inkjet printer. OK, so it's like a 1/200 runway for jumbo jets, but I think it looks pretty kick ass for 1:60 Valks! There's lots to choose from on this website and it's all free. You can combine them and make a whole tarmac! Enjoy! www.modelairplanecollectors.com/group/dioramas/forum/topics/free-printable-1200-airport-1 -
1/60 is epic. Very excited about this.
