  1. Funimation shows episodes 1-13 on their site. I thought they were releasing an episode a week but I'm not keeping track - waiting for the whole thing so I can binge watch it.
  2. The art is top notch (as expected) but it is just different enough from the original that I really really really wish I could read Japanese.
  3. NOW I can watch this movie. https://www.rifftrax.com/ready-player-one?mc_cid=9c6f4751f4&mc_eid=4d818ab085#preview
  4. The second episode holds up well, very good IMHO. Interesting little series mystery was introduced as well. I didn't like the opening music as much due to the hesitations but the graphics looked nice. The ending music was better, or perhaps I just got used to it. I only remember the one line about red hair from Tennant while Smith's went on and on about it. Partly due to Amy I guess.
  5. Interesting. What little I can hear of him over the translation appears to be in English. I never knew anything was marketed for Macross in English outside of the series that must not be named. Are there others that I'm missing?
  6. The "I want to be a Ginger" bit from Matt Smith was a bit annoying too. If they keep it to that level or less I'm good. Jodie pulled off the roll though, at no point did I not think she was the Doctor.
  7. My concern was not that she was female, it was that they were going to make a big stink about the character being female. They did not do that. Overall it was a very good regen story - far better then Tenent's where he slept through most of the episode, I don't remember Capaldi's at all, and I liked Matt Smith's if only for the girl playing young Amy, she had charisma.
  8. From the title I thought this was something to do with that dreadful DRYL dub.
  9. The main problem with ESB time is that going FTL in Star Wars is only possible with the jump drive and the Falcon went to another star system. At best that is a 1 year journey (I really doubt any star systems are closer then that)
  10. That was the time frame where I kept asking "Why?" to those that thought he was cool, and the only answer I ever got was because he was "cool". I thought the character was a cut out villain without enough dialog to have much impression either way. Then the third movie came along.
  11. Excellent Halloween display. All I put up is a plastic pumpkin and skeleton.
  12. Phasma - out of a group of incompetent morons she stands out, and not in a good way. Really, the only "cool" thing about her is her Armor is a different color. Reminds me of Boba Fett, except she has more lines of dialog.
  13. In this thread, none. In the net at large I think there are a lot of them. The fact it is a stupid movie is not important - that it is a place they (paid foreign groups) can drive a wedge is.
  14. I noticed that when I was just about to buy it. Decided not to due to that limitation. I'm wondering the Amazon version allows it. And as for that pillow thing, yup I had not seen that before. I still kinda think the anchor is a little more tasteless, the pose and theme of it being pretty trashy.
  15. From the trailer it looks like he was in some kind of coma or medical sleep when he grew the beard. Or maybe it is alternate universe Spock.
  16. I can't tell if that is supposed to be sarcasm or not. If not then it has been well known that the Russians at least are putting on a large scale campaign to sow discord through social media.
  17. Trying to make sense of the size of the First Order and how they came to be without the Republic taking any steps to stop them is an exercise in frustration at best and a path to gibbering insanity at worst. Or it could just be very bad writing.
  18. I still consider the Yuki on an Anchor display the most tasteless piece of merchandise I have seen related to the show. The one a few posts up is downright tame compared to that. And as others have said the show is nothing like that.
  19. The best part is the decorations can stay up till Christmas too.
  20. The fault for screwing up the new trilogy lies solely with the higher ups at Disney. They should have MUCH tighter reins on the franchise then they are enforcing. Normally that is considered bad (for the director's vision, blah blah blah) but in this case directors are more like directors on a serial TV show - they have to agree to the overall vision or bow out.
