    To quote the RiffTrax riff on it "there is not enough pot even in Modesto for this to have been made" Applies to the whole special but equally well to the cartoon alone. It makes the sequels (and prequels) look like fine art.

    Ignoring the fact that the Star Wars Holiday Special (where the cartoon was shown) is one of the levels of Hell; Bobba Fett at least did something useful. Phasma never (never mind) did.

    Finally went to see it today and there were a surprising number of people in the theater. TS2 is still the best but this one is a tossup with the first one on second place. It had me laughing out loud in a couple spots and Duke Kaboom was great.

    SDF-2 was blasted to scrap with the sdf-1. SDF-3 is the one you are wondering about. Zippo chance of anything being done with that.

    One example of that is that little thing called a Death Star - even a moderate sized ship could have taken it out with that lightspeed ram maneuver.

CP just talked smack before getting thrown in the trash. Then blown up. Maybe she is actually like that guy from the third Mad Max movie, the one that just doesn't die.

    Could have sworn I posted that this looks great. It would be really nice if this got a US theater release - we are more accepting of CGI animation then cell shaded...

    Maybe they are trying to imitate "Engrish" On the plus side this is so far away from the source material at this point it practically is it's own thing.

    B&T starts out fun, and ends with them playing Twister with Death - which should be fun but really wasn't. Really too bad the second movie didn't quite work since it had a lot of interesting ideas.

    I'm shocked, that second trailer actually gives me hope for this film. School trip gone whacky instead of kids out in the jungle for no apparent reason and the trailer was entertaining. Not my movie and I won't be seeing it but...

    I keep a wait and see on that one. Other than Transformers Anime and Giant Robot movies are not doing so well.

    Only problem is that the UK is a different region from the US where Blu-Ray is concerned. You would have to have a UK BR player or a multi-region one (if there is such a thing, I know there is for DVD).

    Was this season a dud? I've only had a chance to watch the first episode so far but I expected a lot more conversation about the show by now.

    I was going to say that after what they did to Minmay you would want them to try an entire idol group? But then I remembered the VA for Lancer is pretty good.

    Did they still lose the rights to the fighting kite and the name Macross? If yes then their stranglehold on Macross other then the original show is done. If not then well... Or was that only in the UK?

    If you have to say "not to get political" at the start of a post - you got political. And an entertainment movie says nothing for either side in that argument.

    I suggest going to the Disney parks and seeing how many minorities are appearing all over. To say that Disney is not making an effort to be inclusive throughout their business is just plain wrong.

    Anything involving the infringed IP would be illegal for them to show again. Barring some kind of deal with the owner.

    Nice enough I suppose but nothing beats the TV cars from the sixties. Batmobile, Both of the Monsters's cars, the Bevery Hillbillies truck...

    Yup, cause the guy on TV told us that is is impossible for any technology on Earth to make a crop circle. He also told me Aliens on high gravity planets will be tall and thin due to the gravity and that the aliens also have large black eyes due to the planet being very close to their sun.

    Better be the Yamato - it did have a small (minsicule) part to play in the battle while I don't think Musashi was completed yet. They did not spend much money - most of that footage is from the Pearl Harbor film a few years back.

    > Its worth pointing out that the term "Unidentified Flying Object" does not have to mean the same as "Flying Saucer" Just this kind of thing is what aggravates me the most about the UFO types - they are worse then a certain company saying they have full rights to "Robotech" when asked what rights they have to Macross - means just as much.

    I've personally seen a UFO. Just because I don't know what it was doesn't mean squat.
