The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Would you sculpt them yourself? -
Yeah, I think only the engines were left.(?)

Fine by me. If it has good sales, maybe Bandai will toss into the mix. Either way, nice to see something in hand. Now, c'mon Wave, hurry up with that!
-
Apparently, still going strong as of two years ago.

Is that Ebbtide in the background? EDIT - No, wrong color/wrong type. It's the Screaming Mimi from 'Riptide' that I was thinking about.

All I can do is assume, because I don't know the guy. The point is, he chooses to still be doing it. His choice, so I assume he's still having fun with it. And more to him if that is what he wants.

I would assume he still loves doing, has a big enough name to get paid a lot for it, and gets to travel around the world on someone else's dime. Three pluses I wouldn't mind having.

@pengbuzzWhat really matters is what is in the cup!? Cool looking SDF there Pengbuzz! Not done yet, but looking worlds better than what you started with.

Well, as you say, values change, and that one woman may have been only the first of a trend, and a lot can change in a century. We'll see how SNW handles it.

In the 'trailer' Hemmer does say that (paraphrasing) his main strength is 'fixing things.' And seeing how Enterprise is pretty much just an armed, deep space exploration vessel, I wouldn't assume that would be too much of a problem.

A bit understandabale, as catapults, esp if they are the newer eletromagnetic ones, are lot more expensive and maintenance hungry than a good old ski-jump. But then, a ski-jump is one-use real-estate and doesn't help getting a fighter up to speed, just off the deck.

Ah! Thanks for the clarification! Still not bitter then!😀

Hey, I thought Hemmer was an Andorian, and was going to complain bitterly about the bad make-up! Never-mind now. Is it me, is the dialogue in these trailers better, so far, than anything on Disco..? Thom (original account in WITSEC)

I see what you did there. Thinking you're funny, eh? Thom (real account lost but almost found.)

I like Liam Neeson, but his type-casting has got to stop. Do a rom-com, or a fantasy as the wizened wizard, or something! Thom (real account currently under repair.)

Or it could be great. (shrug) Let's see, we have... Pike, Number One and Spock from the original original pilot. Only Spock moved on from there. Then we have Uhura and Chapel, and season 2 Kirk, from the original series run. And being introduced in SNW... La'an Noonien-Singh, Dr. M'Benga, Erica Ortegas, and Hemmer who is an Andorian. I'm assuming some others as well. It's not a stretch to say that the main stories will probably revolve amongst Pike, No1 and Spock, with the others adding 'flavor,' so I'm not stressing that we have some legacy characters coming in. I liked what I saw. Not the best, but not bad either. There were some moments where it felt a little like a fan-film, but that's not good or bad. Also felt it was a little too quick. What they had in the first episode, I think, would have been enough for two episodes, if only to keep it from feeling rushed. What happened at the end of episode one, IMO, would have been at the end of episode 2, if only... EDIT - sorry, forgot to spoiler this... Still, I liked it. Good acting, nice effects, cool ships. Loving the scenery. Anxious for more! Thom (original account in for repairs...)

Jurati was basically mind-raped by 'Commander Oh.' She was almost literally out of her mind. I have no problem with them finding her innocent because of that. But as @Seto Kaiba points out, for her to be up and around just a few years later is either, hard to swallow, or the results of a damn fine psych program! I could use a back-story where she went to Vulcan for a few months and had them rummage about and put her back together again, mentally. Thom. (original acct needs fixings!)

That splash of color works well against the tan.
