1/72 F203 Dragon II Kit Proposal --Moscato Hobby

Real glad you're having so much fun with it! Will make for an even better product. -
@Urashiman I feel your pain! I have three moisture traps on mine, which helps, but it'll still throw up occasionally if I am spraying for too long. Give it a light sand back with some fine grade and touch up. Nice color though.

Seeing those props was pretty neat. But, $8000 per phaser?! Dang, should have bought enough for five seasons and got the cost down more.

Jurassic World Dominion (Jurassic World 3)
Thom replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It was alright. The previous one was better. It was nice seeing the characters again, especially the ones from the original, but it felt too forced in places and just didn't flooooooow. Not bad certainly. It was an entertaining popcorn flick, which this kind of movie should aspire to be better than. My advice to the main actors, when they come around again with another script - pass. Maybe the girl who played Maisie could take over in a few years, with some time for a good script to gestate.- 57 replies

Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+
Thom replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So the first episode of Ms.Marvel was pretty good. I liked the energy and feel of it, and the music they used set a good tone. Quirky and fun. I think it lost a little when she first used her powers, as that seemed a bit hoaky, but everything else I liked.- 1511 replies

A good ep with some nice action. Cool seeing Obi-Wan really using a lightsaber again, if only against storm troopers and droids. The scene where he rescues Leia was very good. But... ...yes. Unless they contrive some way to hide that she is Force sensitive by the finale, then Leia should be being watched from now on. Or just 'disappeared.' The only way I can see them hiding this is for Reva not to have said anything, and for her to switch, but at two episodes left there is not much room to work in the reasons and to do it in any way than as a sudden shift. OR she dies fighting Kenobi without having told anyone, which seems just as implausible for the character.

That's why I'm real hesitant to buy from HLJ right now. Love the products and the pricing, but the shipping more than often doubles it.

The XL-01 is a nice little toy... um, model! Model toy? A little modeler know how will knock that toy shine right off of it.

@MechTech I think the base is looking really good. Love the bullet! @Rock Really liking that inverted display. Very unique, as I've never seen a model displayed like that at any modeling show. Although, you probably know already, but your port engine burner is a little separated.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm good with my old Hasegawa birds!

After market decals then, though they can get pricey, esp evilbay. I would find it cheaper to keep buying the old Bandai kits, that come with decals, then go through the trouble of the Plamax.

@pengbuzz That's why we stay tuned in, you always recover in true style! Lovely Macross and great camera work. Did you hitch a ride on a Falcon and drift the Macross out there for that beauty shot!? @Urashiman That's some real cool 3D work! Good thing it floats there while the main gear are being fixed. For me, I've moved onto the superstructure. The front piece is being kept 'loose' in order to put the 'glass' in after paint. And the pins for the red top of the 'stack' have been hacked to keep that removable until after paint. I'm also fixing the details that were ruined during snipping and sanding. And being replaced with wide styrene strip and then some thinner follow on strips - not yet pictured. Ta!

Very odd choice. I wasn't considering buying one anyway, as I have quite a few already gathering dust, but buying this new kit, and then either having to raid the stash or buy an aftermarket decal set just to complete what should already be in the box, would give me another reason to say no. Although, if you can scan and print reasonably well, you could make your own decals, but even then you're having to buy either clear or white decal paper to do it. So more steps ether way.

This I definitely agree with. There shouldn't be any reason to have to read tie-in books or comics. The story should be encapsulated in one medium, without forcing people to buy more to just follow along. This, I believe, was one of the tributes to Carrie Fisher after she died. I really wish I had been there with my lightsaber... The part of my post that was not quoted answers this that was in response to the part that was...

Either Vader was Worfed or he is just relishing the chase and the final vengeance over Obi-Wan, and so doesn't mind him getting away a time or two. Doesn't really jive, I know, seeing how it has taken ten years just to get to him again, but there you have it. Still, great seeing him again, and so that makes some 'issues' more acceptable. Like Vader's passageway scene in Rogue 1, just showing him as a complete juggernaut, and yet fouling the way they start chasing Leia's ship from the start of ANH.
