  1. Keep in eye on SSM. A birdy said another batch is being percolated.
  2. Having asked about a new front canopy for my build, OneZero on SSM mentioned a new batch in the works. Be on the look out!
  3. Love the motorized turret! Are you going to do sound effects in the base?
  4. Never had any experience with stickers. Paint and decals are my first choices.
  5. A VF-2SS! That should be cool to see built!
  6. The money I set aside for this ended up being used for something else... So missed this one. But I'm sure they'll be another run made. As long as people are asking for it, and Blappy has recently acquired the molds, so I'm sure it'll show up again.
  7. I think it's looking great. It's just the breasts though...
  8. That looks incredible! Psyched all over again, and I still can't wait anymore. C'mon, fly that beauty out of the factory already!
  9. Now no, this won't have Tom Selleck as the titular star, Thomas Magnum, but will instead focus on his daughter Lily 'Tommy' Magnum. According to the article, her career with Naval Intelligence, having followed in her father's foot steps, was deep-sixed and she is returning to Hawaii to take up her father's PI firm instead. https://www.cnet.com/news/magnum-p-i-sequel-coming-to-abc/ It's still early, and so there's no telling if any original cast will be making appearances, but I have have high hopes for this, as this show was one of my favorites as a kid. Thomas Magnum, the perpetual child-like bachelor solving crimes from the seat of 'his' Ferrari, with his cadre of Army buddies and the 'is he or isn't he Robin Masters,' Higgins. It can't do itself wrong by going right back to the formula that made that show so great. As the article says, there's no word as to whether Tom Selleck will be making a cameo, which really should happen! Selleck does have another show he's doing, but a few guest appearances would be a good thing.
  10. Careful, you might give someone a great idea for a 'What-If' build!
  11. Thanks! But that was before the final gray coat. Toned down quite a bit after.
  12. My LCS Frigate, the USS Sybil Luddington.

    Monumental! Have lots of fun!
  14. Well, seems I got that licked when another problem developed. Or was just awaiting discovery. I progressed enough to take the masks off and found the pilot's so fogged up, it's like he's smoking a stogey in there! It will have to come off, and I'll either get a replacement or see about making my first ever gangmold with the plug that came with the canopy. But I'm taking a break from it. This will require yet more sanding and clean up and trimming and painting, and I'm burned on it at the moment. She's down, but not yet out!
  15. Such tiny, tiny details. Making me drop random things already!
  16. Some progress, after some problems. I was attacked by paint peal in a bad way. The entire nose had to be taken right back to bare resin. Note to self, the next resin model is getting washed first! I'm assuming it's a mold release agent problem. So, in the off chance it may happen again, there will be no more colors going on the wings or fuselage. Just black on the wing tips, tail and canards, and dark tan for the nose and tail cones. The nose cone needs to be neatened, as I didn't want to mask on the white side, in the hopes that the dark tan will hold better. Also helps that I think any mold release agent is mostly gone by now. Pulled off with the first paint job! After that will be some edge clean up and then clear coat and decals. Then weathering and hopefully soon to be done!
  17. Wow, great builds indeed! Too bad the Navy isn't really flying its own VF-25s. Although I wouldn't mind seeing the build of that aircraft carrier in the background!
  18. Is it? I'd be interested.
  19. Rest well Gene Wilder. Give Gilda a smooch on the cheek from us...
  20. Makes me long for the two resin ones that I sold while out of work. Can't wait to see what you do!
  21. Than you! She went into paint. But not without a few set-backs. I managed to snap the resin pins for the wings and had to do a little repair. And I bumped the tripod stand for the dish, requiring a repair there. I think accidents multiply after the first one happens. Anyway.. I also burned the pizza I had for lunch today - and forgot the canards...
