  1. According to HLJ, there is only enough plastic for one plane, but with decals for either. So it's a good bet it'll be molded in good old white plastics like the original release.
  2. Real nice light up sequence! Nice work.
  3. "I'm kinda done with you telling me what I can't do." Best. Line. Ever!
  4. Good looking work on that '171!
  5. Nicely done! She is a sweet looking plane.
  6. Came across this review on my phone. Gives me much hope! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/alita/battle-angel/.143043 It doesn't open until the 14th in the States, so I'll be seeing it either late Sun or early Mon.
  7. Hmm. I wasn't wowed by this one. It was only thirty seconds, so they couldn't do much, but I think showing a little more of her personal interactions would have been better than simply repeating Higher, Further, Faster over and over. Oh well.
  8. It's a thirty second spot, not a full trailer. For what it was, there was a lot more energy building up in this than in the first trailer. We also got glimpses of the world after the Snap, from ships clustered around Ellis Island which I imagine are abandoned ships, and cars just left in the stadium lot where their owners left them. And Steve was looking pissed! Looked like some kind of help group. Also a nice shot of Stark and Nebula working up a storm on the Milano. Can't wait for the next trailer!
  9. I think it would be good to divorce oneself of the notion that this is tightly akin to the anime. It has a 'based on' feel, wherein they more than likely used aspects within their own interpretation. Not saying that is a bad thing. But it will more than likely be its own thing.
  10. They were the only ones I really looked at back in 'the day.' But only for movies that I was interested in...
  11. I could see them trying to introduce a younger team of GBs but still focusing on the original remaining actors. But it will be different. There have been too many years in between for it not to be, but that's not important. What is, is the feel of the movie. That buddy/buddy/buddy/buddy feeling, where you can tell they care for each other but rip on each other intelligently and in ways that showcase and progress their personal relationships. If they can do that again, then I don't cariof the main plot is overly complex or incredibly simple, just as long as it holds water.
  12. What are these 'reviews' that people keep talking about? I keep hearing about these mythical opinionated founts but have never read/seen them myself. I think I'm happier for it!
  13. Good to know, thanks. I'll need to keep an eye out. The Yamato-fast has gone too long...
  14. I won't even watch that before seeing the other episodes. Anyone have an idea when they will be available for viewing?
  15. He was good. I like him a lot, esp as the Bats. Until he had the suit, Bale was in that spot and before Bale was Keaton (who is still above Bale and Affleck in my book.) But Affleck is getting up there and would best be playing an older mentor Bats to a younger protege. Plus I think the character needs someone who is dedicated to the role. I would rather they did not reboot the character though, or even just slip a new actor into the suit. Have an actual transitioning. Use The Batman (or whatever title it's going to have) as a vehicle to pass the torch to a new Caped Crusader, starting with Affleck but ending with the new actor.
  16. Don't know whether to respond on this thread or the newer one. Oh well... If I had heard the news that Afleck was leaving the franchise before JL came out I would have been way bummed. But that was before the movie was a bummer, and I would now have no problem with DC rebooting the entire thing (except for WW and now Aquaman.) Still, Afleck was a great Batman, but with all the baggage now of the limping DC-verse I think a fresh infusion of talent and a new take on the character could help out tremendously.
  17. 2016 Ghostbusters didn't work. That's no one else's fault but those behind the reboot. If she can't deal with that, then that's too fecking bad. Plus, as stated in the clip, their's was a freaking reboot anyway! People want the original. Here's about as much as I want to see of the '16 GB.
  18. Sorry. This was on the other night and I just had to do it. Bonus!
  19. I'll say, I wish this was Cameran's 'Avatar' rather than Avatar is his Avatar...
  20. Oh, FECK YEAH!! Although if that was just a 'test run' then it was already better than any of the trailers for the reboot! And I mention trailers because I haven't even seen that one yet. The atmosphere of it was just perfect and the music cues just gave me the good willies!
  21. I would love to see another, specially if Knight is behind the camera. But if I see Bay's name as director I wouldn't consider paying a cent to see it.
