I'm actually okay with this. We may get a third WW movie with Gadot and a second (maybe a third) Aquaman with Momoa, three being a pretty good theatrical run. They can also take their time with them and not rush them, which is always a great thing. In the meantime, we finally get a Supergirl on the big screen for the first time almost forty years, including the time for the new movies production, which will also help reboot Superman and a new Batman already on the way. With Whedon pretty much screwing the JL pooch, and canning the entire Snyderverse in the offing, this is probably the best way to go. And doing so would release Jenkins from having to tie WW in at all with the previous movies. I love Gal Gadot as Diana, but I'll be just as thrilled to get a good trilogy with her in the role even if they never tie back into the Snyderverse. Too many mistakes were made to do pretty much anything else with the previous movies.

That's a pretty cool vid! Guys got more skilz than I!! With USS Defiant off on missions, a new ship has entered the ship yard. This is the 1/1000 Sentinel class model designed by Admiral Buck on Resin Illuminati. Ugh Models was making them until they got a CnD and I managed to get a few. This one will be named the Saber NCC-2556. The main hull pieces are already together and I'm just filling and sanding, as well as mounting it. The nacelles will stay off until after paint.

I bought the Art of for the movie, as well as Ido's Journal. Both are pretty good books. Preordered with Best Buy.

Yes!! Thought that was a great show and it was ended way to soon! I'm liking the look of this one, but I need a more fast-paced trailer. This tone-down one didn't do it for me. Am also wondering what happened to John and if maybe his disappearance has something to do with the new girl that Sarah says is the 'new her?' I'm guessing the whole 'mother of the rebellion' thing has been switched to someone else. And from the sounds of it, I'm assuming that Davis is playing a cyborg rather than a rogue terminator.

I still haven't watched STD... (still loving the acronym though.) They just seemed to take such a hard turn away from what had been known for decades as the visual-references for the whole Star Trek universe that it was jarring. Same universe, but everything is different! Sure, they could do style changes so it all doesn't look like 1960's Future-tech, but they didn't even do that. Do I recall correctly, that the first draft of the series was going to have a true pre-TOS look to it? Then there is the fact that Discovery is just a butt-ugly ship and the changes they made just before the show started did not help it at all. I find myself more interested in watching season 2 with Pike and just skipping the first season - if I ever decide to waste time on it. Or just waiting for a hoped for series based on Capt Pike to come out... Have to defend the JJ movies though, at least two out of three. Into Darkness was far too much of a TWoK rip-off, but the first movie and Beyond were pretty good. Except for the crappy look of the Enterprise-A...

I haven't been a big watcher of the show, but I was certainly expecting the fight against the White Walkers to be more than just one episode... I would have thought they were enough of a threat to push Dany and the others almost, or all the way back, to King's Landing before they were beat. Drawing out their defeat would balance better with the seven year foreshadowing of their crossing the wall. And consider, the Wall was made to keep them out, so if they were defeated so 'easily' (easily being subjective) why couldn't the ones who made the Wall have done it as well...? Plus, I hate that they turned Daenerys into the main villain now. I so wanted her to sit on the throne. I guess having her and Jon marry and share the Iron Throne was not GoT enough. -

I see them having Pfeiffer as the true Mistress of Evil, but Maleficent being framed for what the 'Good' Queen is doing. Hope so anyway, unlike a lot I liked that Maleficent was only 'bad' but evil. If the first movie had been done more in line with the animated movie, I probably would have liked it too, with a full on evil Maleficent.

LOL! That scene in R1, despite the fan-service, was the first time we got a real kick-ass, bad-ass Vader and it was worth every, bone-breaking second! And then yes, the inconsistency they wrote in between R1 and ANH is confusing. You write the scene to cater to the lines that came before, that in this instance actually followed it.

This Kate Kane is a version of the newer Batwoman who was introduced with the New 52 books in 2006. The earliest version of the character was Kathy Kane, who was created to be a love interest for Bruce Wayne in 1956. And to counter the rumors that Bruce and Robin were gay lovers... Kate Kane in the New 52 is a cousin to Bruce, whose family is as rich and as influential as the Waynes. I don't know yet how much they are keeping from the comics and bringing to TV. They do have an Alice, who is going to be her main antagonist, but I don't know whether they will still be sisters. In the comics, Kate and Beth (whose alter-ego is named Alice) are twins, but they have Rachel Skarsten playing Alice. I hope there is still a familial relationship there. And in the comics, her enemies are bit more paranormal than Batman's. When I heard they were doing Batwoman I was really excited, and after seeing her in the last crossover I have to say that I still am. Ruby Rose, in the few scenes she was in, really fit the image and actions of the character, so on casting grounds, I am happy. Have yet to see if the directing and writing will live up to the hype. Despite liking Supergirl and the Flash, I'm hoping the feel of the show is more in-line with Black Lightning. From what's been told, she's on Earth 1, and Batman has been missing for three years, leaving Gotham to fall back into crime and poverty. Don't know yet if he is dead or injured, or just retired like Bale's Batman from TDKR, and I doubt we'll find out any time soon, as they don't have the rights to actually use the name Batman...

I could live with that. And even like it! In a way, we would be getting back the original Luke-character as was intended in the first treatment of ANH.
