I ended up fudging mine, sadly. I considered buying the mask set, but it, sadly, doesn't have any provisions for them. Next time, the first thing I'll do is paint the area surrounding those clear parts as though it's the finishing paint, insert the painted clear parts, and mask it off - then go to closing up the hull as the instructions dictate. Good luck with yours! Also, nice work with that Queadluun-Rau. That's one I really wish was in 1/72! Mechtech, that mast looks fantastic!

I just recently finished a build of the /1000 Defiant. It is a great little kit! The only problem I had was planning the build/paint sequence. When I build another, I'll paint the upper hull where the eight clear round parts go, then mask them before continuing with putting the hull together and sanding the seems. It turned into a bee-otch for me when I needed to mask the eight clear circles after all assembly was done, and just couldn't get it right. Everything else though was Beauty! A test of the new phaser emitters on the Saber.

I keep getting stuck on the wording, 'you must sacrifice that which you love...' Not sacrifice your own life, but that which you love, a person separate from yourself. For that scene to work in Endgame, Barton would have had to kill Nat (or the other way around) and not simply fail is stopping her from killing herself. Imagine that scene...

+2 The trailer looks really good. If they can make it a two hour movie that feels like the best twenty or so min from Pearl Harbor - rather than the stupid soap opera that the rest of it was - then it will be worth going to see. At the moment, the only drawback is that Emmerich directed it.
-
Not something I'd watch in the theater anyway, and though I like Stewart (both of them) even they are not enough to get over the dumpster dump of that trailer. Comparison time!

Oh c'mon, that soundtrack!!
-
Maybe they'll remake Iron Eagle!

A little closer to paint on the Saber. Just have to neaten the crease between the saucer and the main hull, and replace the phaser banks which suffered from some overzealous sanding. Oops...
-
Wow, that was.. rough... Compared to what we have as trailers today, that was just a mish-mash of scenes. Great movie. Bad trailer.

I don't know which is more confounding. That someone is selling those for so much, or that one is already listed as sold?!

That's a nice A-Wing! Seeing it mostly in flight, it looks odd up on any kind of gear.

Avatar was a one-watch deal for me. It's an okay take on Pocahontas, but that's it. And I say that having never watched it in 3D. I find it too uncomfortable having the 3D glasses perched over my regular pair. Other than the 3D gimmick, there's not much IMHO to account for the money it raked in. I'll watch the sequel, at least once, but I really wish he was focusing on Alita. It's a far better story.

I already sat through the three hour 'short version,' so, sorry Marvel, I'll buy the Extended Cut when it comes out.

I imagine it would just melt off! I'm not fantasizing about that. Shut up!

It is entirely possible that it's magically creating, like her dress during the Let It Go song. Meaning the dress really can fade out.

Really looking forward to this. I did not see the first one in the theater, but I will be seeing this one.

Should have posted this yesterday... So, since Dec 2018, Mikey McBryan of Buffalo Airways fame has been shepherding the revival of a WWII Veteran, a DC-3 that flew during the D-Day landings. She hadn't flown for nearly three decades and was in pretty poor shape. Under the title of Plane Savers, he has been filming 156 episodes detailing the task of getting this old beauty back into the air on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Of course, happy to say they pulled it off! If you haven't seen them yet, and love the stories of these grand warriors being saved and put back into the air, then watch Plane Savers on youtube.
