Yeah! Well, the fine molds did it better, but that one is still unbuild in my basement. Loved the GWH one though. It felt rewarding to build it. And thanks - I tried to emulate the Macross Zero look onto this one.

Looking forward to this.

That's not Oshii's style; he's the filmmaker most likely to embrace the latest technological innovations. I'm sure he'd prefer it was live-action.

I always liked the ending images from Outlaw Star. They had really nothing to do with the show, but they sorta reminded me a lot of 70’s and earlier sci fi concept art that kinda got the imagination rolling.just a few of the pics from the end of the show -
So apparently we are getting a new OVA.... The Gray Witch! (Die Graue Hexe) 🥶 Revealed as part of the celebrations of animation studio Sunrise's 50th anniversary, a new anime for the classic mecha series Armored Trooper VOTOMS was announced today, scheduled to release in 2026. Mamoru Oshii will direct the new anime, entitled Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Die Graue Hexe (translated as “The Gray Witch”), which features animation production by Sunrise with cooperation by Production I.G. An official websiteOpens in a new tab and a teaser video were published for the newly announced anime. No additional details about the new anime were revealed at the time of reporting. The original Armored Trooper VOTOMS is a “real robot” mecha series directed by Ryosuke Takahashi and animated by Sunrise which originally broadcast in Japan for 52 episodes from 1983 to 1984, inspiring numerous spin-offs and sequels over the years. Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Die Graue Hexe marks the first completely new work for Armored Trooper VOTOMS in 15 years. The original Armored Trooper VOTOMS series follows Chirico Cuvie, a young soldier who is betrayed by his comrades after he accidentally discovers a secret weapon during an unauthorized, top-secret mission, forcing him to become a fugitive during a period of intergalactic war. Looks interesting! 👍🏻 More Hi-Metal R Votoms....🤗

I thought these are more sensible size classes too but then I remember that Dreadwind and Darkwing needs additional parts and engineering to combine. So I would suspect that Hasbro will sell Voyager toys at a leader price (the same way they do with Deluxe sized combiner limbs). Additionally you have all the extra parts for the Powermaster gimmick (even if it is not spring loaded). For Overlord I would expect a Star Convoy sized Titan (maybe even smaller). G1 Overlord has a lot of functionality - like the base mode - to recreate that faithfully I think Hasbro would make it a Titan class to have extra budget available.- 17977 replies

https://www.votoms-gh.com/ Looking forward to it. Wonder if it will be another chapter in Chirico's life or someone different as main character this time? "Die Graue Hexe" is German and translates to "The Grey Witch".

I wouldn't say no to any of that, though I might be ok if Overlord is a Commander and Buster & Hydra are Voyagers. Need to see his hands and feet to be sure, but I don't really see any difference from the initial. I have the initial release, plus a pair of Sweeps, so I think I'm good there. I plan to preorder, but I'm waiting for Pulse. Speaking of waiting, there has to be a Transformers Tuesday or something coming soon. The only mainline stuff I have preordered currently is Sideways and Onslaught, then I have a handful of exclusive-stuff preordered at Pulse. Swindle was revealed awhile ago. In past years Hasbro would start soliciting preorders for the next wave around the time the current wave was hitting retail, and you guys just got my last AOTP review for the wave. I'll be wrapping up Studio Series this week, too.- 17977 replies

Studio Series TFTM Scourge. I'll preorder it since I only have 1 Scourge from the initial release. Studio Series TFTM Hound was preordered at Target with the 20% off. Gigawatt is currently on clearance at Target for 70% off. I'll go back tomorrow to price adjust. Preordered Missing Link Grimlock at Hobby Genki.- 17977 replies

General Sci-fi designs across various media
Bolt replied to M'Kyuun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
You guys really bring me back to my youth , loving so much Sci- fi for the first time. So many great and influential artists.! I know this conversation has mostly been on the classics, a well deserved topic . One of my more current favorites , concerning Sci-fi style designs is Tsutomu Nihei . He's mostly in manga but his stuff has also been animated. His most famous work,IMO, being BLAME. I love his story telling with little to no dialogue. His work features landscapes of endless cyber dungeons and vast vistas. Also his dark fantasy cyber tech is super cool. Some of his stuff, like knights of Sedonia is approachable, if you like his style and not so dark and gorry in content. Others like Biomega and Abara are very intense and not for kids. I haven't read all of Aposimz ( just finished book 3) but I'm very much enjoying it. It's also more tame than the other two previously mentioned. Also ,his style has evolved to match the tone of his story telling. -

Yeah, definitely not safe for work! 😅 Incidentally, those pages appear in the bilingual edition (random pages comparing the bilingual edition; not those, erm... "delicate" pages): There were generally no age restrictions on the translated manga sold at the comic shops I used to frequent back home. So it makes sense that those 'delicate' pages were removed to keep the manga from disappearing into the 'adults only' section. It's a bit odd, though, as Crying Freeman (published in the same era) wasn't censored nor in the 'adults only' section either... 🤔 -
