The computer and electronics super geek thread

so i just picked up Clair Exp 33 on pc and tried playing it with RTX DLSS Frame Gen, the input lag is annoying as hell. Combat relies heavy on precise timing of parrying enemy attacks, I kept dying due to the input lag. I eventually had to become a clairvoyant parrying a second early before each enemy strike. -
I didn't think that far, but that sounds like the way they'd to go. Glued on gunpod skis, while the landing gears are there to dangle for giggles. Originally, I was thinking they'd design the skirts fresh, by following the same ground clearance specs. Or they could just tell us they actually designed the 22's skirts first. So when they worked backwards to make the 21. they kept those external dimensions out of equality considerations for how they knew the 22 would eventually end up...

The Newbie and Short Questions thread

1st, as always. Thank you for your help Seto. Always appreciate it, and good point on the "official" part. It just sounds so much better and somewhat different from the US Renditions version. The singer sounds completely different and from what I can hear. The English dub of this song from the movie/ova starts out in Japanese then transitions to English. Around about the 4:10 part of this English cover. Although the lyrics, from what I can hear and make out from my manga copy of M2, they sound similar but are slightly different. Like they cleaned them up and tried to streamline them better. Makes me wonder if it's possible Debbie Rogers re-recorded this? Because if she did, this sounds way better then what we got from the original movie/ova release. If she didn't, then whoever did, I think they did a damn good job. Is this possibly lost media? I can't find a copy or any download for it anymore.- 7144 replies

It’s too bad none of Fox’s wingmates is a turtle. Would have made for some fun awkward moments! 😅 . . . But there’s an outside chance we could get a “Slippy Toad.” “Toad, just Toad” interaction.

Well, it is a big Nintendo galaxy. Doubt I'll see it as my kids are outgrowing children's movies 🫣- 11 replies

Same. Not sure I should post a South Park reference here too, tho. lol -
I really wish Hasegawa would do VF-27 and YF-30... or just like any new fighter at all really.

How "official" do you consider a song that was re-recorded by a dub voice actress during localization? Because this is, IINM, the re-recorded version of Mou Ichidou that was produced by US Renditions for the sixth episode of Macross II: Lovers Again using Ishtar's US/English voice actress Debbie Rogers. Re-recording songs like this was trendy for a while in the 90's. Some even had the original artist record the English version too (e.g. Tenchi Universe) while others had an English-speaking performer record over the original (e.g. Sailor Moon's "Moonlight Densetsu" or Tenchi Muyo! OVA 2's "Pioneer").

Hopefully the antennas antennae or however you pluralize them will be less fragile than the 1/72 ones on the Phalanx

I've never ever stayed awake in a Harry Potter movie, ever. Extended Edition LOTR though??? No problem! I think I was just to old for the HP movies when they came out.
