So someone elsewhere linked a photo of the new Shockwave attaching to Bruticus. And that's all well and good, but I'm looking at the process and just going "So they DID find a way to sneak a gun mode past legal." It isn't a historically accurate pistol grip, and requires you to disarm Bruticus, but... they snuck a gun mode in. Also, in doing so they kinda sorta published instructions for how an aftermarket parts company can mount a more appropriate pistol grip. So that's something to look forward to.- 18122 replies

This looks like an interesting variant. I keep going back & forth on this line, but now its more +ve than before. I'm thinking that instead of just recolors with different attachment accessories, the variants have key identity differences in form of the various wing configurations and I like they are doing this. Recalls the VF-0D / 0S, or the 31 Sigfrieds / Kairos.

This is why I keep Blu-ray & DVD's handy, streaming never seems to have that show you truly want to watch.

Seeing this thread bumped reminds me again that BSG isn't available on any of the myriad streaming platforms I subscribe too...😒

Preordered the figure set and Colonial Viper this morning. They're slated to ship in December. -
I mean, that applies to MW, too. But that's ok, we Gen Xers know we're the best generation.

All this battle Star Galactica talk had me rewatching the classic intro on YouTube. Man that theme really brought a lil tear to my eye. Great builds of the ships

Someone pointed out that SS86 Skywarp's shoulders are black when they should be purple, and it's driving me nuts because I know it's wrong but I kinda think black looks better... EDIT: And yeah, Shockwave is WAY too small. If I were Newage, I'd make a Shockwave that's the same size as SS86 Megatron with none of the Siege holdovers like those heels. Get one over on Hasbro for making SS86 Optimus bigger so Romulus wound up too small.- 18122 replies

Thanks @tekering Here's another shot, low and from the stern. She has full size flight pods on the bottom as well as the top. And at some point I'll get to finishing Pegasus... But I don't know if I can forgive you for the reference to Gal80. That. NEVER. Happened! (Well, except for the Return of Starbuck. That was good.) Prometheus is looking great @505thAirborne! Hopefully the turrets should be there soon. Just have to slip passed the Cylon blockade...

Working on Hasegawa's creator's works Minerva from Crusher Joe at the moment. Planning on a straight up out of box build with a small alteration in colour scheme. As I don't like pure white on model builds, I'm going with a slightly gray-white for the base. Gonna use the artists acrylics for this one, as the tests I did worked well over Mr. Surfacer 1000 as primer. They didn't hold very well over straight, unprimed plastic - just lifted right off, but held firm over the Mr. Surfacer.

So I saw an in-hand picture, which makes judging size a lot easier. And I'm surprised. Blackout is actually notably bigger than Ironhide.- 18122 replies

Well, not particularly interested in Ironhide at that price, but I suppose I'll have to get Prime...- 18122 replies

General TV & Streaming series thread

Dana is the name of Dana Terrace, an animation creator who made an animated series for Disney called Owl House, but it was canceled for "not fitting the channel." GLITCH is a group of animators who, tired of receiving "no" (mainly from Disney, from what I've heard, if I'm not mistaken, of course), created a studio and made animations directly for YouTube. The Knights of Guinevere is her animation at Glitch; I recommend watching the pilot on the Glitch channel. Park Planet is the Disneyland version of the cartoon.
