Looking good; I see you have decals applied?

@505thAirborne, she’s a beaut’!

Looks awesome, @505thAirborne! The combo blended beautifully well together. And totally agree about the Alphas. Leave them in one mode, and don’t mess with them too much. Now, we just need someone to paint the Sentinel Tread green, and our board will have a full customized set of the combo’s color schemes.

Yeah, as far as the suit itself, the tv version will look great in a battle scene with Max’s 1A battroid

@MKT Thank you! Enjoy the pics. For those who still have the MPC Alpha's, do not tempt fate, find some Poseable's for Soldier Mode and leave your Alpha in fighter mode.

@sh9000simple yet effective. I went with using vinyl electrical tape in assorted colors. Having purchased a bunch of VF-1S Supers and VF-1A to make these customs tape makes it easy to create customs and keep from damaging paint, parts, or screws. Still your custom is very cool to say the least. The colors appear more than bright enough n the picture, but really are very close to the original paint. Keep those customs coming.

Anyone here remember the Arcade Aid Flynn Lives ARG that was used to promote Tron: Legacy? They gave away some very nice pins, badges, token, posters, postcards, etc. and it was a lot of fun that I felt helped to build excitement for the film. Is there anything similar ongoing for the Tron: Ares film? I'm guessing no or I think I would have seen something about it by now but maybe I've missed it as I'm not on-line near as much as I was 15 years ago.

Agree. As good as CG has become, there's still an uncanniness when they render real people's faces as digital constructs. It's a tough hurdle to clear for CG artists, as we're innately attuned to faces and tend to notice when even the slightest thing is off.

Thanks! I appreciate it, but as I stated in my previous post, I have nitpicks with the ER mold and given Hasbro's penchant for milking Seeker molds, I think I'll just wait for the eventual SS86 Seeker to get the Conehead treatment, b/c you know they're coming. How they come however, i.e. pesky exclusives and cumbersome box sets, is another story. I'm patient, though, so I'll wait. The coneheads were always more of a bonus to me anyway; I'm always more concerned with attaining Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp; any Seeker outside of that core three is just fluff for the shelf.- 17667 replies
