  1. Past hour
  2. I've always dreamed of having an electric motorcycle that looks exactly like that model... except with the mini-missile launchers on the front, of course. 😉
  3. Sorta gives that big like appearance
  4. Agreed. And that will most likely mean reusing/re-purposing existing sets. To be honest (and coming from a position of not having watched any of the latest stuff), the show runners need to be replaced. This has nothing to do with the writing; they need someone that's much better at keeping control of the budget and reining in costs.
  5. Today
  6. Roger. We found the illustration for Chapter 1 on their Pixiv (along with a TON of girls kissing) but it seems we'll have to find those individual print issues. It's a damn shame the digital distribution was never archived. I'd pay for it, if I could, I really would. Thank you for your help regardless! Look forward to what's coming!
  7. That 1/100 kit is awesome.
  8. At least Bandai threw in the fin funnels. Speaking of funnels, it's ridiculous that the price of the new funnel set for the Entry Grade Nu costs more the Nu itself.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

First DX VF-17 just sold for 18K yen at Mandarake https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1328959891&ref=list&keyword=Macross&lang=en
  10. I've been reading through the recent posts and it's just sad that these big companies are trying soooo hard not to give collectors exactly what they want (their apparent business model for repeat business) that they're doing something as blatantly obvious as reprinting a MacF VF-171 and selling as a Mac7 VF-17. Guess bold-faced lies are the in thing right now everywhere you look.
  11. Trying some layering on this Bellvine. Black primer, silver underpainting and two green colors…shadows and highlights. Also a sandy yellow in there too. I wasn’t sure the silver would do much but I think it does add a little more depth. I painted the clear parts silver and clear purple candy. well I think airbrush time is done for now. I’ll move along to brush painting the details
  12. small production runs of VF-171 cosplaying as VF-17S? will that really help? https://twitter.com/De_danaan179/status/2036032691569938654 web-translated: https://twitter.com/Tokyo_Incident/status/2035931211131232436 web-translated:

  14. That's only because they don't own the IP behind those failures. They have to pump out a string of failures in order to hang on to the license. Paramount owns Star Trek, so they don't have that same incentive to take unnecessary risks.
  15. Year One hopefully gets made. Captain whats his name from Picard would be a good one to make a series on (if they kept him snarky). I don't remember if he died but retcon it if he did. SFA was a bad idea they just HAD to do (for some idiot reason)
  16. Review embargo for Ultra7 270K Plus and Ultra5 250k Plus and the consensus appears to be "Why didn't you lead with THIS Intel?" Cheaper, much better in productivity and gaming (beating out AMD X3Ds in some scenarios) compared to the original 200-series Core Ultra release. Downsides are slightly higher power draws and it's coming out on the dead LGA1851 socket. Nova Lake CPUs are coming and this appears to be "Hey, we're still here!"-release. This release falls into the too-little-too-late bucket. Unfortunately, with all other components going up in costs (including CPUs), this release may not see much adoption.
  17. It was definitely too rich for my taste. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an impressive looking kit, but I can’t justify that kind of spending on a model kit. and now I’m thinking that price did not include the lights
  18. That’s thinking too rationally for reality. Look at Sony. You’d think they’d be cautious after one or two failures, but they keep pumping them out just to hold the rights to a franchise.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Agreed, this isn't good for our hobby. Nobody is winning, not Bandai, not us, and not the retailers. Not sure what the fix is other than much smaller production runs.
