  1. Past hour
  2. I am shock to death by this news. I did met Ace twice,
  3. So have you ever been super careful with tiny pieces, cut them out and immediately put them in a dish to keep them safe as you work on other elements of the kit? Days pass and when it’s time to clip them up for priming, you look in the dish and the small part is MIA and have no idea how or where they went. Well it was my turn to deal with this issue. So I guess I need to make a replacement piece. Hope this isn’t too rough I’m missing one part of the head/face armor. (Part D10) on the new 1:144 KOG. It’s a tiny piece and most of it is hidden in the end so details can be ignored which is nice. Just glued a couple small pieces of Pla .3mm and some sanding and will probably shape it more for a better fit. Once it’s painted and in place nobody will know. Does anyone have pointers of best practices to keep parts safe. I may have to get some zip locks or tiny jars with lids? An open dish is well…open and ready for failure I guess. Lol
  4. Today
  5. F'ing classic song. RIP
  6. That was such a trashy fun movie. The down in fire effects were hilarious and the filmation style sound effects are also great for a laugh. Definitely an iconic band and without them, many styles of music and costume would not have been the same. They also pushed bands to do more with stage antics and how shows could be done in a way for more of a visual experience. Without Kiss, there’d be no Mercyful Fate, or the corpse paint of Black Metal or even more modern makeup and masked bands like Ghost or Sleep Token Ace was an iconic guitarist and definitely one of those that found a way to make sure you knew his name, even if he may not have been as skilled as some others, you knew his name
  7. Delayed valks can be dealt with, destroyed valks not so much. "Sorry, your "1 per decade" super-rare valk sat for 10 days without a response from the Japanese auction shop that sent it, so we shredded it"
  8. Yesterday
  9. When I was a little kid, early 80's, there was a picture of KISS on the back of a SHOGUN WARRIORS comic my brother had, their faces in full makeup used to scare me then. Of course, later on as a teen working in retail (1994) with guys in their 30's, I was properly introduced into Pink Floyd, U2, Zepplin, Beastie Boys, RUSH & KISS. KISS has some amazing songs and a stage presence that dominated. RIP ACE.
  10. Damn, I was never huge on KISS, but their impact is undeniable. RIP to a true, old school rock legend.
  11. https://variety.com/2025/music/news/ace-frehley-kiss-lead-guitarist-dead-1236554943/ Thanks for the iconic musics and Phantom of the Park Godspeed
  12. I completely understand and agree with your statement, I guess I have never had an issue with HLJ and packages. MB
  13. Hi all. just wondering if these parts can be 3D printed. I recently got super lucky with an Aoshima Legioss & Tread set. Sadly, the plastic on the Tread (oddly not the Legioss) has not held up over time or the factory plastic was a bad batch. Either way, these parts are for the back of the legs and used for Bomber mode. Both literally shattered with minimal pressure applied, they are glued back together for now. Crazy how my TOYNAMI Beta's have, fingers crossed, not had this issue. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  14. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2 episode 2 aired and It was just great. I love Dora.
  15. Thank you!
  16. Just got back from seeing ARES, it was well made and the NIN soundtrack was so good you could have just closed your eyes and listened to it through the whole film. Jared Leto's performance was fine too but his films seem to be cursed. HOWEVER!! Not having Sam Flynn and/or Quorra return was a yuge f'ing mistake and there was plenty of room to include their characters in ARES. I'm sure making a sequel so late (15 years!!) after LEGACY didn't help either. Plus there was an over abundance of nostalgia that can't be expected to carry a movie either, that GenX money can only get you so far. Sadly, since ARES wasn't a block buster hit I think this will be the last TRON movie ever and doubt we'll see a new streaming series too.
  17. I got a few of these figures. I still haven’t opened them, they’re surprisingly highly detailed and I feel like you need a magnifying glass to really see everything. Gotta set up a little extra space to display them
  18. It’s one of my favorites as far as looks, but as far as its story in Zeta m, it’s one of the goofier ones. Reccoa got mad that she was being ignored and not being treated as a lady enough, then switched sides due to bad writing and was given that suit to fight off the people she cared about. They really didn’t know how to write female characters back during Zeta era and often times women would just be an emotionally chaotic mess.
  19. The predator looks bad. I wonder if it was some kind of money saving problem. From what little I remember this has more screen time for the predator and from the look of it that facial mask might be easier to work with than earlier ones. It looks like the mechanical bits could be worn from more angles while filming.
  20. Thanks so much. Hands…come to think of it I do have some of those rounded finger Gundam hands laying around from a Gerwalk project I was working on. Great idea! I’m not familiar with the Pallas, but I am digging the design and that great color scheme. Looks amazing so far!
  21. It’s a classic.
  22. Not quite what I was getting at there... that's something different. The regular vs. special forces versions of the VF-14 and the 1st and 2nd production types of the VF-19 are variants with different appearances, sure, but they're still "universal" models available around the galaxy. It wasn't until Macross Frontier and particularly Macross the Ride that they really properly introduced the idea of emigrant governments locally developing their own major and minor variations of existing Valkyrie models. The first proper example being the VF-171EX and VF-171 Block IIIF in the TV series and movies respectively. Both used the VF-171 Block II as a starting point but modified that design to incorporate improvements and new features and capabilities based specifically on the needs and wants of the Frontier fleet's local New UN Forces and initially existed there and nowhere else. The VF-19EF Caliburn is another good example. The Frontier New UN Forces wanted their special forces to adopt the VF-19E, but they weren't happy with the performance and capabilities of the export specification VF-19E in its stock state. So they changed the design and made their own version. They altered the aerodynamics, adopted a new wing design, reintroduced the canards, included some proprietary parts, calibrations, and software, etc. and when the dust settled they had a VF-19 that was uniquely the Frontier fleet's and it'd changed so much it got a new variant letter issued as VF-19EF (VF-19E Frontier fleet specification). Macross Galaxy did something a bit less extreme with the VF-19C, tweaking the design in various minor ways leading it to be designated VF-19C/MG21 (VF-19C produced in Macross Galaxy specification). Macross Delta lowkey ran with it and the VF-171s in that series are described as a "Rim world model" or "frontier/remote space model" implying they are different from the VF-171s used elsewhere in some way.
