  1. Past hour
  2. Apparently, a sequel to Legacy was the original plan, and Leto's character was a much smaller part of that movie. When that movie fell through, Jared pushed to make a new movie centering around his character happen. Real monkey paw situation that we get an actor that has the pull and the drive to get a Tron movie greenlit, but the actor is Jared Leto. Personally, I find him repellant enough that I'm going to wait for streaming for this one.
  3. Nothing a little styrene and glue couldn't fix if I were so inclined. I'm real curious about this Overgear series. It just might pull me back into TFs.
  4. Today
  5. Nice! Yeah, pretty sure that's their take on the 24. I also found this online, which is essentially identical (they did make the new shield) but was labeled as a 24.

    1/55's revisited

like these...you pull the thin strip from the thick (they aren't really that wide, there is overlap)

    1/55's revisited

Funny, I was recently wondering when we'd discuss sticker placement on these things! I thought those were for the legs-the wrap around stripe? yeah...here is a pic when they were applied (the leftover)
  8. The front grill of the VelociRaptor 6x6 truck mode has I-Hide sculpted on it.
  9. I see the head sprue has both the Milia face and the blank visor. We should see a regular female Rau in the near future.
  10. Agreed. And there has always been re issues of sentinel so patience will pay off I think.
  11. I’m hoping to visit Japan again next summer. As that trip gets closer, I’m definitely going to wait to buy some things or maybe have them shipped to family in Tokyo so they’ll be waiting for me.
  12. I never actually see the Macross kits from the og series show up here in the U.S. some of the ones from plus and other franchises have, but lately haven’t seen og Macross stuff
  13. If you wait a bit longer, it will be cheaper to pick it up in person...
  14. Most of the people I’ve known about that go camping or fishing usually seem to be well stocked with a cooler or two. Even while taking to people about a single morning of fishing seem to finish off five before they return in the afternoon
  15. Mugen Gacha us just ridiculous. How to build a world conquering army.. Light.
  16. Is it? Genuinely asking. The folks I know who go camping inevitably pair camping with other outdoor activities like birdwatching, hiking, caving, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hunting, and the like. I've never encountered a camping enthusiast whose idea of camping is just "pitch a tent and get sh*tfaced". Even the campers in horror movies do more than that with their time outdoors (excl. getting chased and/or killed). Gen's cooler's like a 30+ can affair and he's emptying that sucker in a single sitting.
  17. Hawt! In my head canon they would be Roadbuster and Whirl.
  18. Mondo’s Oro Monroe - Should be up for grabs on Tuesday.
  19. @tekering Thanks so much! When moments present themselves to me like in this case where my own negligence “losing a part” offers me an opportunity to learn how to make something I can’t say it’s all that bad in the end. Lol. I’m blown away! Beautiful work and such a beefy build at that. I think you mentioned being super busy in preparation for a macross event. 40th anniversary if I remember correctly? I imagine the SDF-1 will be on display? Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about. Hahahaha Anyway, If you have time please share more when the event happens and I also love seeing all the progress you make along the way. Oh and I’m digging your tackle box(s) of figure parts. That’s amazing! Edit* I guess it’s the 43rd anniversary of Macross
  20. I feel whale blood customs coming.
  21. Wow, at this rate PLAMAX can put out the VF-5000 before Arcadia ever could.... unthinkable LOL
  22. I still think there's going to be an international release sometime soon (ish). That has to be why this was such a bizarre limited release right?
  23. Yup, same here. I moved on with my life pretty quickly, though. Plenty of other things I can spend that money on.
  24. That's a fabulous way to demonstrate your work, and it's all the more impressive as a result. I think I'll try the same: The tiny conning towers on these were almost absent from the 3D models, and pretty much had to be scratchbuilt to approximate the line art. Now, onto the battlefortress itself... Yeah, you want something with a lid. I like toolboxes myself... I've been disassembling Star Wars figures for decades, and find this to be an effective way of organizing parts for customs. Regardless of how you do it, though, you've already got the most important element: the ingenuity and skill required to scratchbuild the parts you've lost. Zeta Gundam had far better production values, mecha designs and music, but the dialogue and character motivations were often baffling... especially among the women, yeah. 🤨
  25. Pretty cool stuff coming up. I wish these were articulated versions though. I remember a kondo style Goblin years back that was a full action resin kit and I just didn’t have the cash for it back then. May have been a B-club or kotobukiya kit. But I’ve always wished those designs were in plastic and articulated maybe one day
  26. Isn’t this a basic for camping. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of sober camping. Do sober people even go camping or fishing?
  27. I agree! I just hope that BBTS has this out in customers hands by November. I know it is released in Japan on October 25th, but with the slow boat shipping, I hope it makes it in time! Twich
