Fair enough. The F-22 does get in just under the wire.

What the hell am I even looking at? Is this another doomed to fail, free to play, asymetric horror, multiplayer only cash grab? What is even happening? It's just another weird mish-mash of Raccoon City elements, why is Leon kicking and throwing enemies like he's in RE4? He was a rookie during the Raccoon City incident and RE2, once again, what the hell even is this and what is happening? Capcom really needs to get their crap together when it comes to non-mainline Resident Evil, if they want to push multiplayer so bad REmake Outbreak 1 and 2, or make Outbreak File 3, all these other half-ass multiplayer games have, and will, continue to fail.- 6965 replies

Maybe, once it's painted and properly lit... I've got 40 chip LEDs being delivered tomorrow. 😅 Actually, she agreed and cut her hair for the role. Unfortunately, a drunk-driving incident left her injured at time of filming. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/we-never-had-an-ending-why-disneys-black-hole-lost-star-wars-1262526/

It's after the merger, but before the events of the first film as far as we know. According to articles in Time, USA Today, etc. Alien: Earth is set in 2120. 16 years after Alien: Covenant and 2 years before the events of the original Alien movie (2122).

@pengbuzz That is a great finish on the Cat's Eye! Glad you got it finished and in such fine style. As to the next project, V.I.N.C.E.N.T. sounds like a great idea. @tekering That is a gorgeous looking Cygnus. I have yet to even get my printer set up... The detail is so good! And that is some interesting info on casting. I wonder what Cartwright thought about that. Although, I think it was Jennifer O'Neill who was set to play McCrae, but left over the hair-thing. Would be a bit of a slap for Weaver to dump the role over cutting her hair, just to go bald in the completely fictional, never actually done or filmed or released Alien 3, that was nothing but a weird fever-dream that made Josh Whedon wet his bed one night.

I'll have to grab some of my Yammie 1/60 missiles out of the boxes in the attic (I don't have any mounted on my displayed units currently).

If you have any 1/60 Yamato VF-1’s lying around, you can using their TV missiles (and some adhesive putty and a little red paint) to fill those additional hardpoints. I’m using the Version 1’s missiles on the Legioss and Tread. Not 100% sure about the Version 2’s missiles, but if their pegs are similar, they may work too.

No, I bought that from YJA years before I had my own 3D printer. Your material options depend entirely on the type of printer; DLP or SLA use photopolymer resins, while FFF or FDM use extruded filament spools. Liquid resin is better for highly-detailed miniatures, while filament is more practical for larger projects. Those are my Hiya Toys action figures, actually. ☺️ A brief Google search found several different options for ALIEN figures in compression suits that can be downloaded and printed. There are no limits to scale with 3D-printing; your only restrictions would be layer thickness, and the physical dimensions of your printer. Print anything you want, at any size you want! 😁

Episode 4 was above and away, way better than the first three. My fav of the season so far. For me, nice level of mystery and suspense and I hope they keep this up. My one problem... Thom

It’s definitely before Weyland and Yutani merged, so I guess that would be before Alien. I’m not as up to date on the fictitious dates or anything though, so I’d imagine someone else who keeps better track would know a little more. I could be wrong, but I think it was Weyland Yutani from covenant on. I only remember it being referred to as the corporation in the og movie, so I may have some of this timeline a bit off

Do the individual missiles actually separate from the mount, or are they permanently glued or molded together?

They have two different missiles that came with the "Exclusive" set. They don't match the missiles from the line art, but I think this is because they have them mountable on legios as well (they use the same mounting system as the gun pods). But I'd be down for more, especially since I have three more hardpoints on each wing to fill up.

It may be plausible that all of these events are happening concurrently due to the length of time for space travel/hypersleep/etc, right? Or maybe that's a stretch based off past canon analysis.

I’m hoping it’s a one and done season. Although at this point with the Alien continuity it’s a bit confusing on what would change it in too much of a way. Now we have the xenomorph before the og movie already released on earth. I guess they probably will have to exterminate it before it spreads and leave no trace otherwise I think that would kinda ruin the first two movies.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Is that your build? It looks great and I agree that the build and scheme at hand will be very forgiving. Thanks for the heads up on this, appreciate it. $20 for files sounds good too. I’ll have to do some research on cost for printing before I pull the trigger on it though. Being a total noob, are there options as far as materials used in the printing process that I should seek out for this sort of project? Edit* I did notice the figures “Dallas, Lambert, Kane” are not part of the files. Is that something I am able to find elsewhere at the same scale?

I'm not at all into metal, so the soundtrack was lost on me entirely; it was more background noise to me than anything else. Glad you enjoyed it, though. I suppose, for the genre and the events taking place, the music was apropos. I didn't really pick up on that many of the characters being quirky, a few sure, but in hindsight, yeah, I guess there are more than I realized. Despite a few eyerolling moments, the show demonstrates promise; I hope they fulfill it satisfyingly without breaking established continuity and with a building story that beggars more seasons.

Something like this? 😎 Gambody's files are on sale right now. I think so. The bio-mechanical shapes and muted color scheme would be quite forgiving, so it would be difficult to screw it up. 😅 Let me know if you're serious about it.
