  2. Totally. I think that Hollywood and the memes didn’t want to get on his bad side, which is very rare. I can’t even think of a bad story about him which isn’t something that most actors can say. Even the memes involving him and other actors, it would still be kinda trashing the other guy.
  3. I have the Dana/Jean. Haven’t opened it yet though. Does the armor stay on well? I hear it’s just glued to the fabric. And my cat love watching Freiren. He likes odd kinda calm bright animation. Personally She kinda makes me feel sleepy, but the cat loves the show. Also that weird video for the song Fishing for Fishies by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Kinda the same reason there , it’s calm with soft voices and bright colors.
  4. Chuck Norris wasn't just a legend, he was THE legend. But I think the most impressive thing about him wasn't his roundhouse kick, it was that he never let Hollywood or the memes or whatever fame get to him. He was a down-to-earth, genuinely good dude. Maybe too good for the world as it is in 2026.
  5. This one brings back memories. It was the last of the wave five star stories kits that I built a few years back.
  6. "NVIDIA has now confirmed that DLSS 5 takes a 2D rendered frame plus motion vectors as input. That clarification came in follow-up answers to questions about how the new technology actually works. The answer is direct, and it does not fully match the earlier impression created by NVIDIA’s own marketing language around geometry, materials, and scene understanding. DLSS 5 does not appear to read 3D geometry, depth, or artist-authored material data directly from the game engine. When asked whether the model is effectively taking a single 2D frame with motion vectors to create the output, the answer was: “Yes, DLSS 5 takes a 2D frame plus motion vectors as input.” NVIDIA also said the model understands scene semantics such as hair, fabric, skin, and lighting conditions “all by analyzing a single frame.” NVIDIA had earlier described DLSS 5 in a way that suggested a deeper understanding of the scene. The follow-up answers paint a narrower picture. When asked whether the model reads PBR (Physically Based Rendering) properties from the engine, NVIDIA said: “DLSS 5 only takes the rendered frame and... That may explain why some preview images raised concerns. In one example, a character appears to gain hair detail in an area where it was not visible before. In another, facial details appear altered enough (like the nose) to raise questions about whether the model is changing the look of the of the character rather than only improving lighting." Source: VideoCardz.com https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-confirms-dlss-5-uses-a-2d-frame-plus-motion-vectors-as-input In other words, Nvidia lying as usual and it's pretty much typical AI generating faces.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

VF-19 was selling for 18k yen at Mandarake. I see this one going for 16 or 15 in a couple of weeks. Bandai really messed this one up.
  9. I always loved him growing up. And the jokes only made it better. 🫡

  12. I am on the final stretch with the Wave 1/144 LED Mirage Colus. Just needs panel lines, decals and a few areas to dial in and touchup. Would also like to invest in a vise sometime. The empty jar with a pile of tac works but I want to up my game. Haha
  13. Amazingly Clint Eastwood is still alive too. But yeah, Sly and Arnold is still going strong so who knows with those two tbh.
  14. Probably for the best. I don’t think any animator or cell coloring artist would remember to keep highlighting these areas over and over just to keep that detail.
  15. My original reply was like the last thing I did before I went to bed at like 2:00am, and I made some mistakes and am concerned about I wasn't entirely clear. The robot getting upgrade is Nemesis Prime. He was released (at least in the US) in a Target-exclusive multipack along with Horri-Bull (retooled from from Titans Returns Skullcruncher), Bumper (new head on SS86 Bumblebee), and Ultra Magnus (a white repaint of the Deluxe-class toy-style Optimus). That Nemesis Prime is a slight retool of Legacy United Animated Optimus (which I remembered as being a recent enough release to think it was Age of the Primes, but I was wrong). I reviewed that figure here. I thought it was kind of mid, since the Animated characters in Legacy were all a bit G1-ified, which meant he wasn't totally cartoon accurate and also redundant because we already have G1 Primes. While I got my copy in late 2023, as best I can tell the figure did release in Japan sometime in 2024. DNA released an upgrade kit (DK-54) for Animated Optimus, which I reviewed here. It gave the figure the gloves, wings, hammer, and shoulder cannons of the original Takara Wingblade Optimus, but also new boots based on concept art for Wingblade Optimus and some extra head gear. The upgrade parts transformed into a more complete, more cartoon-accurate trailer with a ladder. I quite liked that upgrade kit, as I felt it really elevated the toy. DNA later released another kit, based on DK-54 but modified extensively, for the Animated Motormaster repaint of Prime. It used the same boots and gloves, but modified the wings so that in alt mode they looked more like a box trailer than a fire truck. It replaced the hammer with a large gun and the shoulder cannon with boxy missile launchers, and added a sword. That was listed as DK-56 DNA released a repaint of DK-56, DK-56A, that repainted the black trailer wings to gray, repainted the black gloves, boots, and boosters to be colored like the other Stunticons, and included a new Menasor-style head that fits over Motormaster's. DNA is now further retooling DK-56 into 56T (for Optimus) and S (for Nemesis). It looks like they're retaining the sword, big gun, and redesigned trailer wings from the original DK-56 kit, as well as the gloves and boots from DK-54/56, now they're including new God Ginrai-style chest armor, feet guns, and new head armor. These kits are available for preorder now. The idea is for DNA to make more money to look more like concept art that was developed for a 4th season of Animated that never happened. And, like I said, I guess that's cool, and I might have bought the Nemesis version if I'd bothered to keep that figure, but I'm content with the DK-54 kit I already bought.
  16. I heard he actually died four years ago, it just took Death this long to work up the courage to tell Chuck.
  17. Cool, I think I'll hold off and see what happens in August once the release comes out or if there are US preorders available since I missed the Japanese window.
  18. Seems like most Revival stuff has been selling around $300 at US retailers so I can't see why you wouldn't be able to get one for around that price. With the Supreme Court ruling that the tariffs are illegal there's the potential for them to be a little cheaper moving forward as well. Some US retailers are a little cheaper than others so shop around when it becomes available for pre order
  19. Yeah, tariffs are dumb... but you think i could get a revival for $300 or so in August. V1 dx VF-1S looks like it's around $400 otherwise.
  20. When I look up Freiren, the images somehow reminds me of a very old Sega game I never played - Lunar: The Silver Star Story. Obviously they both have no relation, and I have no inkling of what both stories are about. It's just purely on basis of artwork the character designs of Lunar grabs me, & Freiren is somehow giving me the same vibe.
  21. Got the bad news this morning like a lot of others. Love how he’s one of the few people that memes made him seem cooler rather than having them trash him. I grew up with his movies and even watched Walker quite a bit. He was always great and really loved him as an action star. He was also one of the few action actors that never really had a bad story on the gossip news either, just an amazing American movie icon. His memory will live on
  22. That’s the bit I was thinking of for sure. It’s like certain details started as one thin through production and ended up something totally different by the time toy and model companies got around to things
  23. I’m gonna miss him. I’m placing bets though, I think Stallone will be the last between him, Arnold and Van Dam.
