  1. Past hour
  2. Looks like @RT junkie is going to have a very busy and happy retirement! (in 10-15 years...) Good looking collection @Shawn Now just make sure you have enough glue and paint!
  3. @Papa Rat Just back in the hobby and already completed 20 builds! And some real nice ones too! @derex3592 Hope the colors work out for you. Are you weathering it, such as rust and algae?

  5. Now THIS is my kind of post! That is a healthy collection you've got going there, have a lot of classic hard to find kits! The layer of undisturbed dust on the open ends is awesome and shows the time in the archives. You should take a half day off and remove the front layers from some of those shelves to see what is hiding on the back layer too! I love how you can always super stack the Nichimos into every nook and cranny at the tops, I've got a couple shelves looking just like this one
  6. You'll be busy. Better get started!
  7. Good luck on dialing in that red. I’m super excited to see this come together. Also…does PE play well with lacquers? I have never seen PE or handled it before firsthand.
  8. Today
  9. Well, my choices came down to Mr Color "Russet" or Mission Models WWII "Red Oxide" SO.... I went with Mr Color mostly for the durability, but oh my 😎, it's quiet a bright shade of red! Hobby shop didn't have my go to Tamiya rattle can of Dull Red, which I think is the perfect hull red.... I think I'll mottle this with the Mission Models acrylic and see what we get.... πŸ€” I can also report that after 3 hours early yesterday morning ALL 42 50 cal guns are made up for Texas! Basically only a few stair cases left to make and PE is OVER and done with 😁
  10. Since Sunrise is producing the next Macross, we can only hope Bandai Namco Filmworks will handle the worldwide release for this one, to have something as wide as Gundam GQuuuuuuX. For the current Macross sequels on Disney+, yup, I'm also giving up, despite what Big West international strategy producer said back in July during Anime Expo. It's been 6 months and nothing happened, so I guess it's simply not worth the cost for them (Disney+ and Big West) to release it outside Asia and English territories.
  11. Time Crisis.. I loved that game. Don't forget House of the Dead... that one was fun, too. I need to look up this Sinden light gun.
  12. So I was taking a look in my photos from this year and I have over 20 builds! That’s way too many to share. Here are a few I am proud of. In 2026 I want to slow down on my output and make my building more refined and raise the bar for myself on quality not quantity. *looks like I’m a huge FSS fanboy. 😊
  13. 😳 you are all set! Wow
  14. Right, its more or less like that. I think in Canon they say that the gas is the same basic gas types used in Blasters, its just the its charged by a larger powered laser. So it works kind of the same way, but using a laser instead of being energized by the power source. I also don't think it uses a crystal to focus its beam IIRC, it just compresses in the barrel like blaster but then fires a more broad strong beam.
  15. Getting ready for when retirement comes in ~10-15 years. Want to make sure I have stuff to keep me busy. Some of these I bought as a kid all the way back in the β€˜80s.
  16. @electric indigo ✌️that’s a good looking year no doubt. I like the idea of a recap and might post my output too later today. One of my goals this year is to finally purchase a resin kit and will reach out to you for some sage advice. @ThomLooking good. I’m excited to see how the yellow turns out. I have had great results with clear MR color on clear parts.
  17. So last day of the year! In the Armoured Trooper V.O.T.O.M. series it's been a busy year, with lots of nice release, in both models as well as action figure releases! Surprising for a series that's over 40 years old! Next year will be pretty expensive as well with already 3 releases shown to be releasing in the Hi-Metal R line, and I'm sure TakaraTomy will also be bringing 3 or more V.O.T.O.M. in the TSpark line in 1/48! As for Bandai in the Hi-Metal R line, my prediction; after the ATH-Q64 Berserga is released is.... 1) X-ATH-02 Strike Dog 2) ATM-09-WR Marthydog 3) ATM-09- ST Turbo Custom from the Berkoff Squad with accessories as an ad on pack! 4) ATH-06-WP Diving-beetle So with that I wish everyone here, A HAPPY & EXPENSIVE, New Year! πŸ₯³πŸ˜±πŸΎπŸŽ‰..... and have fun collecting. πŸ˜‰
  18. Err...was getting RDJ in Tropic Thunder vibes myself.
  19. I've had good luck with Bandai warranties stateside when I've had need of them.
  20. The one I got was sold as new and unopened. It in fact was opened and someone who had gotten a broken antenna took the antenna out and sent it back. Amazoon would only return and refund, and bandai responded to me after 3 months saying there were no replacement parts and they would be doing nothing to remedy my situation. Hopefully you get a good new one, its a pretty sweet one.
  21. In support of @BroTaku79, gotta post the new threezero adapters just received today. Thanks again for the awesome stands!!! I'm pretty sure the last pic is an unsupported configuration, lol
  22. Ah, but "American-made Robotech" has been conceived and miscarried so often it's hard to keep track. The Sentinels was stillborn, The Shadow Chronicles died in the crib, Robotech 3000 and Academy were flushed before they could become fetal matter, and whatever Sony claims to have developed isn't even a glint in the milkman's eye. πŸ™„ Books are the only American-made Robotech media to have survived infancy, and that's where obvious lifts from other sci-fi franchises become apparent. Indeed, some of the more recent comics have borrowed liberally from unrelated Macross sequels (even tracing artwork outright, if I'm not mistaken), leading to their untimely demise... ...but I don't think Cyrus customizing his prototypes is going to hurt his business any more than it's already hurting. πŸ˜’
