Will give them credit, I think I do like the proportions of this one's nose section better than the Yamarcadia (better shape of the neck/LEX, and it makes the nose look longer), but this thing looks like a genuine frankenvalk. There is so much Yamarcadia DNA here, I don't know what to properly call it. So much of this looks directly copied, it's kind of insane. The landing gear look straight up identical (minus the paint, of course ). I think they did a bit better with the knee extension, but then again, the Yamarcadia didn't really need the sliding covers for the Fire Valk, just the YF-19. Bring on the Yamcadai DX! Though, moreso, bring on the rest of the VF-19 series. I'm still waiting for someone to make a white and black VF-19F.

Thanks so much. There are plenty of small mold lines that I had overlooked somehow and the gloss makes them more evident. Luckily they are in rather inconspicuous areas. š

Thanks guys! @Thom I didn't know Trumpeter was doing kits like that now. They must have gotten smart and got on the band wagon! Yours came out great!!! @Papa Rat Your knight looks terrific! Finishes like that are a PAIN to pull off and yours looks great! @SteveTheFish WOW! BIGTIME FLASHBACKS! I had and built that kit back in the 80's! One of the advantages of living near Little Tokyo, LA. If any parts are warped, some hot water should make them pliable to shape. I loved that kit, but lost it over the years. It has GREAT detail on it too. - MT

Looks Awsome. The articulation sounds good as well.

I would absolutely hate a remake of the original. For the time it was and the graphics, it's fine. I don't even know how you could re-edit the film to make it faster paced, I felt the pace was just fine, it was just corny for the era. If pace was the problem I feel like what junked it up was Flynn and the whole Recognizer sequence. Some of the older films casts are asking at conventions for people to go see the movie pretty hard in the last 2 weeks. Bruce Boxleitner is out really trying to push for people to see it. I can understand, he was pretty disappointed when they all signed a 2 picture deal and Disney backed out. The weird thing is, I don't consider Legacy to of been a bomb at all. I think I saw that film at least 3 times, and the first two times I watched it the theater was packed and I saw it 3D and then IMAX. I looked at the numbers, I dunno if it's triggered with inflation or not, but 170 million budget and it did 400 million world wide, to me, that's pretty dang good.

Evil version of Delta, except they're evil in the moneymaxxing sense and make all their pilots have animated ads -
I wonder if they could re-edit it to pick up the pace a bit, like Robert Wise did with ST: TMP Director's Edition?

Yeah, not bad for little 'shake'n'bake' kits. Rey cool! Always a generous offer @SteveTheFish, just like in the old days! And that is looking good @Papa Rat! The gold and the accent colors really work well together.

All they had to do was completely refilm the Last Jedi to include Palpatine's resurrection, having that be the real story of the entire film, basically turning the entire opening crawl of RoS into its own screenplay. In fact, I consider the Last Jedi as a lost film that, when finally found, would seamlessly and without rush, tell a beautiful tale of the battle between good and evil. In another dimension...

I frakking missed Red Hood, fun.

The articulation is good. Knees are double jointed, hips are ball joints, arms and shoulders have plenty of rotation as well as forward back/up and down motion. Feet and ankles are ball joints, skirt armor all move independently except for large rear section. Head is almost complexly static, and waist rotation swivels left to right. Claws on rear of forearms open close and fold to allow for more freedom of movement. This kit has way more articulation than I had expected. Hope that helps?

Great for travel for consuming content on planes and airports. Great for discreetly consuming content when you don't want to rope in other folks... watched Alien Earth while my littles were watching Bluey. For the glasses that look semi-normal ish and don't impair your vision... Great for consuming training classes, certification prep, or news at work in between meetings or tasks. Even driving around/commuting while letting the material passively play in the background - essentially an amped-up ebook experience. They have their use cases for people even if they don't for you. -
Kinda curious about articulation. I know there are a lot of joints, but thereās also a lot of armor that probably block movement, just wondering about its range of motion

Not surprisingly, many of the engineering from the DX YF-19 has been carried over. The eccentric bendy gun for Fighter mode is kept here. I think we have noticed before how Bandai went the Arcadia route for leg proportions. The manual reconfirms the knee gap in Fighter, with leg shortening in Battroid for bulkier proportions. Earlier pictures seem to indicate Bandai got rid of the shin panel covers. However, the cover is still there but re-engineered into a simpler sliding cover instead of the previous swiveling panel. The previous solution is visually better though - it hides the whole cutout space completely, whilst the new solution hides the uglier parts but the cutout space remains. We get to see how the new integrated neck cover works. Although there is still some back collar showing in Battroid, overall I like how they attempted to solve the previously only partsforming feature of the DX 19. It's in keeping with the innovations they have introduced starting with the VF-19 Advance. (for eg, one feature I feel that's a bit underappreciated is how the front canards elegantly hide into the Battroid back spine) Barring any factory assembly QC issues, this looks like it will be a solid release.

I found info on this sofubi kit on the Macross World legacy site here. It's at the top of the list: https://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/hobbybase/hobby_base.htm I have another Valkyrie sofubi kit that's not on that list. It's a VF-1S in Battroid mode. I noticed that the legacy site does not list any figure models, such as the Arii sofubi kits or that clunky ABS(?) kit of Misa DYRL by Tsukuda. Sofubi kits aren't as popular as resin kits because they're a bit different to build. Many people don't have patience for them, but I'm rather fascinated by them.

A quick update on KOG aka āmy little buddyā before I hit the hay š¤ I might do one last gloss coat on it after finishing tonightās final brush painting. I have never been so nervous to paint tiny, tiny details. I didnāt use any of the color correcting decals. I wanted to paint the few color details including this tiny white outline on shoulder āeyeā designs. I was stressing but got it done. Not too shabby. My thoughts and feels on this new Volks 1:144 scale KOG Delta Beren is outstanding! It was a treat from Start to finish and canāt wait to do the larger 1:100 scale once I find that Gaia paint. Hereās a few photos taken at the bench. Iāll grab better pics tomorrow with some natural light hoping the gold has more sizzle if thatās a thing. Lol

Thatās super generous of you. I will keep that in mind if this doesnāt shake out locally. Also, congrats on the new kit. Iām not familiar with that one, will make sure and look it up. š

I'm still trying to determine what the use scenario for AR is. Industrial Design & CAD. Content consumption. Medical conceptualization. That's about all I can see for AR goggles. Those things are just too big, distracting, and silly to wear outside of building/controlled setting. -
Definitely not a Sith, he was. Knight of Ren and Stimpy or something
