At this rate, you are going to have a playable open world with hijackable aircraft before gta6 drops lol

That article sounds like they put a lot of though into arriving at the most brain dead obvious corner cutting solution that I've been explaining for them. At this point, they are just seeding the idea of the whole "missing link" valkyrie so they can soften the blow for being inaccurate, and maybe leave the door open to come back around to doing a true "anime accurate" version later. I don't think anyone would have blamed them too much for going for the lazy solution if they had at least made the head cover slide away, did new shoulders, and sloppily glued a blank cover over the foot details lol. I've mentioned it before, but they could have done the same with the legs and just glued armor part style panels, over the existing legs to at least approach the original proportions and hide the wrong missile ports, while adding the correct super part connections. I'm fairly certain a moderate layer of armor could fit under the backpack without even dropping a click on the gerwalk joint. I still think the most bizarre thing they did was make new elbows that could otherwise have been passed off as artistic difference if untouched, yet somehow make the new ones longer when they should have become shorter, when there was always a few mm left on the 171's to do that. Really curious to see what kneejerk conclusion bandai gets when they are met with the likely disappointing sales, espacially when the price tag is basically the same as the remaining stock of Armored 171EX revivals...

Pontus started following Lego-ish TV SDF1 found on Amazon
-
Hey all, just wondering if anyone has seen or bought this? Just saw it in my suggested items on Amazon this morning, and it... actually looks pretty good with some good reviews too! The brand name is totally sus tho, "Stadrewvy". ๐ This is clearly a knockoff brand, so does anyone know if this is from some name brand like Mega Blocks, etc.?

Guinan is El-Aurian, as was Dr. Soran... and there was a guy in an episode of DS9, as I recall. ๐ค I don't know what a "Lanthenite" is, as I haven't seen Strange New Worlds. ๐คจ

Tidal waves. When the SDF-1 folds in order to escape the first attack, they took all of Ataria Island with them, as well as a lot of the surrounding water. Now, imagine the sea around that rushing in to fill the empty spot. If an earthquake under the ocean can cause tidal waves to hit the surrounding land masses, then I wouldn't surprised if there were massive tsunamis almost world wide. -

Basara can tell you, in the M7 movie The Galaxy is Calling Me he folds right near the ground, immediately loses control and crashes in battroid, and survives by ejecting only to be scolded by colonists for folding in so recklessly. It's a known thing apparently. It's not unlike Battlestar Galactica jumping into the atmosphere of New Caprica and then popping out creating a shock vacuum I bet. If you're not in the ground you might survive but it's dangerous. -

Definitely fits the description of toxic gases and probably explosive materials and it just might be too spicy for the weak to handle -
The Comedic Lanthenite thing is stupid. To the best of my knowledge, we have only ever seen two of the species (excluding the background refugees in Generations) before this. Guinan, who was a serious and relatively no-nonsense immortalish character who was the first to make Q think twice, and who he might have even been afraid of, and Pelia, who is a goofball. But here is the thing, Pelia is a goofball not because she is a Lanthenite, but because she is played by CAROL FREAKING KANE. She works great as a comedic character because Carol Kane is a comedian. Holly Hunter is not; she is a serious dramatic actress (for the most part), so her acting as this goofball character feels beyond forced. Given that she is a near-immortal instructor/captain, I would expect her character to be played more as a burnt-out retiree who was called back to service and who is sick of all the cadets' BS.

Iโd imagine that since materials are removed while folding out of a planets atmosphere, like missing water and land and air for example needing to immediately be filled in with rushing water and air, then the opposite might take place while folding into the atmosphere. Air might get displaced and rapidly pushed out to make room for the craft. Not sure how bringing a vacuum into atmosphere would do anything crazy, but that may be a factor, and of course possibly bringing in rapid contaminants might be a slight environmental issue as well. Iโd imagine the issue being a bigger problem if something like a large ship were to fold in from another planetโs atmosphere, especially if it were from a toxic atmosphere since it might bring in some gases from that particular world. -
nice read: quote Kimura: In the midst of all this, I came up with a rather spontaneous idea: if we shortened the nose of the DX Chogokin VF-171EX, we could create something similar to the VF-17.

Seto, I have a question about this, but it's a bit complicated to set up (and I'm probably overcomplicating it). Here goes... We've seen the Macross(SDF-1) in SDFM fold from a planet's surface to space and seen the Macross 7 fleet fold off of "Lux"/ "Rax" (saw both used for the planet's name) in Macross 7 Ep 38. In SFDM, it took Macross Island and part of the atmosphere/ ocean with them, while in M7, the planet was breaking up due to Gigile's "black space/ void" powers (so not sure if folding out did anything to the planet or the ship). But I've never seen in the series' for any of the Macross shows (admittedly I haven't seen every single episode of every single series) the consequences of a craft/ ship folding into a planet's atmosphere/ gravity well, and I think I missed the episodes with Operation Stargazer in them for M7. In Macross Plus, both Isamu and Guld apparently fold to just outside Earth orbit, outside of the orbital defense grid (I guess they have things in place to prevent someone from just folding in past it? ). My question is: are there any negative consequences of a craft/ ship folding inside a planet's gravity well/ atmosphere? -

So, settlement talk. How fast do we think a city doubling the living capacity of a colony fleet could take to bring up, assuming a fairly habitable climate/ecology? We know and have seen that city island ships like the Frontier Main and Jackpot can and do land in water to construct more permanent habitats and homes for their inhabitants. We also know that much of the city ship's original functions are maintained indefinitely (at least on paper) in the event of a disaster requiring evacuation. A lot of the cities we see tend to be in human-breathable atmospheres though. At least in Macross 30 many of them are actually underground, due to the rather dangerous fauna and fold faults. Workroids would increase productivity vis-a-vis construction but as far as I can see they're more flexible backhoe/excavator/forklift-type machines. -
At least with Filoni in charge, there should be less chance of literal recycling of the old movies. I'll take wins where one can get them, even if its a minor win.

I think Hardware Unboxed recently released a video on how much RAM one needs and 16GB was still about to tough it through most modern games. Unfortunately, that 8GB of VRAM for that 5070 is where it's gonna hurt. -

Hmm... I kinda like young Trion with his fellow Primes, since in the "present" one's dead and most of the others went off to parts unknown, never to be seen again. But I'm sorely tempted to buy a second copy of the toy to stick that DNA kit on.- 9433 replies

That's a good price for that G14 (especially because, at least with the previous generation, the GPU is so thermally throttled), but 16GB of RAM doesn't seem like enough for gaming anymore. Heck, a part of me wishes I'd have thought to upgrade the RAM in my desktop before the prices started skyrocketing. In any case, I went for the G14 with 32GB of RAM and the RTX 5070. That keeps performance similar with similar settings on both my laptop and my desktop (desktop has a 5080, but it has to drive a 32:9 Samsung G9 OLED with almost twice the pixels). -

i saw a review comparison of the g14 and it's definitely a superior laptop in every way than the helios. especially the audio. The helios seems like a good value based on the price per performance ratio. But the g14 if price is not an issue is a premium laptop. btw, bestbuy is having another of those amazing open box deals that started today on the g14: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (Open-Boxes): 14" OLED 3K 120Hz, Ryzen 9 270, RTX 5060, 16GB LPDDR5X, 1TB SSD $929.99 the G14 at this price point is definitely an amazing deal. Best Buy open boxes are some of the best deals around since you can pick the condition you want or return it if it's not your liking. They also have an amazing open box deal on a 5080 laptop that started today: HP OMEN MAX (Open-Boxes): 16" QHD+ 240Hz OLED, Intel Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5, 2TB SSD $1619.99 if i didn't get this helios for dirt cheap, i would be all over the open box G14 or save a little for the OMEN (though HP has some issues.)
