Almost there. A few more layers…red, topcoat, decals, panel line and we are good. I decided to pant the clear lens parts with clear red on front and silver on back. Sort of candy-ish but a clear middle refracting light.

I hope you are right. The 1/200 scale is sort of a perfect size for it, but I’d gladly take a 1/100 if it happens.

I do not collect Transformers much anymore. I always liked the character of Big convoy. He is so small compared to the original.- 18242 replies

In before it's retconned to distrontium next season! Seriously, it genuinely makes me laugh to see them reinventing one of the earliest mistakes in Trek writing.

Great show, great character. She did a wonderful job. What else has she... oh. She's in the Lunar 2 remake as Old Luna. That hurts me more than it should.

Saw Big Convoy at my local Wally awhile back but I left it. I like BW and all, and while a Prime that turns into a mammoth should appeal, having had seen a review, it just wasn't grabbing me. Hope it brings more joy and fulfillment to you than it would've to me.- 18242 replies

It's all been downhill since Windows 2000. I am so glad "enshittify" wasn't a word when people were complaining about XP. -

That’s basically what I was thinking ever since this thread started. Who thought this would really make for a good trailer for a movie that’s about alien communications? I guarantee that no one in reality would’ve seen that live broadcast and taken it seriously

Was that the old one with the angular bike? If so, it was pretty cool and I’ve been finding a lot of older shows that I used to enjoy lately on Amazon like Airwolf and Sledgehammer and really enjoying them. Haven’t tried searching for Street Hawk though

It’s a good show, but also an extreme downer. I could only watch one episode here and there because it would bring me down heavily and would have to listen to some music to get me in a better mood.

My lady likes those K dramas. I figure it’s better than those horrible unreal housewives shows. personally, I never started this show mainly since we don’t have P+ yet, although that could change with the whole hbo thing. Either way, I wasn’t gonna start hate watching another show. Already went through Star Wars stuff, marvel stuff and Rings of Power and I just need something good to watch in these big franchises. Seems like for every big franchise hit, there’s five misses to go with it that interconnect and make you feel like you missed something when you skip one.

The monster is one of my all time favorite mecha designs. I also hope we get a nice modern kit. Maybe if those wave 1/100 destroids sell well they may do one since they had teased it many years ago

After the Nu, I guess a Metal Robot Sazabi would be a certainty: Can't have one without the other, so I guess a Perfect Grade Unleashed Sazabi can't be TOO much to hope for.

Think I'm gonna spend all weekend tweaking Windows... 90% of remaining issues are the context menu. And specifically "the order in which things appear in the context menu". Like, the #1 thing I want, is WAY down, when on the old PC it was up-top. I just don't remember how I managed that... (also, how to remove excess "open with" options that don't seem to appear in most context-menu viewer/editor programs---I just want one, as a single-click option, not a sub menu of other options) -

Anisha Mir's reason for being mad at Captain Ake seems to wander a bit and suffer some motive decay as the episode progresses due to the dodgy writing. She starts out being angry at Ake for separating her from her son when she was sentenced to prison and her son's subsequent hard life. That seems to gradually blur into her just being angry that the Federation made her face the consequences of her actions (prison time), then being angry at Ake as a proxy for the Federation because she was living a hard life without the Federation's foreign aid, and by the end of Ake's "trial" she seems to have settled on hating Ake personally for taking the easy way out by resigning and feeling bad about it all from a cushy job on a safe planet instead of doing something. Of course, at no point does she ever seem to confront the fact that she is far more responsible than Ake was for what happened to Caleb. She's the one who told him not to trust the Federation and encouraged him to run away. He did what she said and ended up living on the streets. Had she not said that (or had he ignored her) he would have gotten to have a normal, peaceful childhood as a Federation citizen living on Bajor. Let's ask Jonathan Archer. 😅 The implication of the episode seems to be that these are representatives of fence-sitter powers that either weren't affected badly enough by the Burn to be prioritized for foreign aid from the Federation or resentful minor hostile powers looking for the enemy of my enemy. With the Emerald Chain destroyed and the Breen Imperium having collapsed into a succession crisis, the United Federation of Planets is essentially the only remaining superpower in the region. Hostile powers are probably feeling pretty threatened even though the Federation isn't an expansionist power, and Braka clearly sees an opportunity to exploit this make the Venari Ral into the next crime syndicate so powerful it's a de facto government. It wouldn't have worked for two reasons. The writers were trying to do a really hamfisted allegory about fossil fuel depletion, even though the parallel doesn't work because dilithium isn't a fuel. Omega particle detonations damage subspace for millions of years, meaning the destruction wouldn't be "fixable". Pretty much every established technology would be left unusable, forcing them to totally reinvent the setting.

https://japannews.yomiuri.co.jp/society/obituaries/20260313-316352/ I remember when I started using the internet, around 2001 or 2002, back then it was an old 56k connection in my state. When I discovered torrents, I went looking for some anime from my youth, like Voltes V and Arcadia of my Youth and others. That's when I discovered a site with the anime Galaxy Express, which I had only read about as something "on hold" in some anime magazines of the time, and after watching it a lot and spending almost a month downloading 3 episodes in the middle of the night, I fell in love with it, especially with Maetel. An iconic voice, at least for me. It's sad to know she's gone, but at least she'll be eternally in the ocean of stars.

Okay, so now I'm kinda hooked on Korean 'historical' dramas... After Alchemy of Souls, I looked for something similar, with magic and sword-fights, but shows with magic are pretty rare. Still, I've now watched 100 Days My Prince, Dear Hongrang, The King's Affection and now I'm into Love in the Moonlight. They do follow a 'formula.' What you think will be a romance piece quickly evolves to political intrigue led by the nefarious 'first councilor' or whomever, and some suspension of disbelief is needed, such as when the female lead is disguised as a man, such as in the King's Affection and Love in the Moonlight. I mean, some of the male leads can look pretty effeminate, but sometimes it's a bit of a stretch. TKA did it better, but Park Eun-bin was a little too short which would blow the 'illusion' when seeing her beside any male counterparts. Still, I'm enjoying them! They can start a little too silly and there are an inordinate number of times where the female lead stumbles and is saved by an intricate catch and twirl move (though it was nice seeing it reversed in TKA,) but I just chuckle when it happens. Some fun stuff!
