Hasbro Pulse just listed Overgear: https://www.hasbropulse.com/search?q=overgear Picked up 2 of each. Ouch. But Hasbro wasn't done with me. I then cancelled my Power of the Primes Predaking sitting in my Pile of Loot (BBTS) after watching a handful of lackluster YouTube reviews. I then immediately rolled the store credit into two anime-colored G1 Grimlocks. Expensive Friday for yours truly.- 18173 replies

@electric indigoOMG another great orange scheme! I remember that matchbox kit and it too was one of my earliest builds as a child. Can't wait to see what you do with the 1/48 brother, its such a tiny aircraft. What is the best JAS-39E Grippen kit out there in 1/72? I'd love to build one up in Canadian colors and I hope they choose that instead the F-35! @Chas Love Crusher Joe mechanics and love that Minerva - looking good!

I dig it. I played this for my kids during our commute: Now they constantly ask for it to be played during our car rides

So just found out something of interest! The production manager for the Hi-Metal R series seems to be the same person that was also in charge of the Yamato 1/12 V.O.T.O.M.S. line! On the Bandai page he is named as Hitoshi Yanagisawa, While Tim Eldred has an interview with the Yamato production designer Toshihisa Yanagisawa which I'm sure just the first name is not translated properly but I'm certain its the same person pictured here sitting on the right! And runs the production company ARMIC Co. I'm sure he was given more development leeway to develop a Hi'R quality product with Bandai! Think it's an interesting find! š

Iāll try and get an updated one since thing moved around and other builds are added, but this was on the day I got the display. I loaded it up quickly. Now I need to ditch all those boxes finally. My mother in-law surprises me with it for Christmas. Such a perfect gift. It has different light temp settings and intensities. I might be able to add some sort of glass shelf above those 1/144 to make room for more smaller scale builds?

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

There are two right on the front page... one of which is someone else asking basically the same question.š Well, without knowing you it's kind of hard to answer an open-ended question like that. Personally, I would say that Macross II: Lovers Again is just as worthy of your time as any other Macross title. It was kind of the odd man among Macross sequels (at least prior to Delta) in that it didn't take a radically new approach to the setting. It's a fairly safe, conventional sequel that builds on what came before but takes no major risks with it. It presents a rather different view of Macross's future than the sequels that came after, built exclusively on DYRL?.

Trench run models, Mando model and a razor crest kit. Also a Mando sh figuarts toy -
Is this going to be like how he usually covers songs in that spoken word style? Personally I think Christopher Lee did some fun music as far as nerd icons doing metal. Nothing like Sauruman going hard core.

@Papa Rat is there a display shelf where you are housing all these finished builds? Would love to see pictures of the completed kits altogether. -

I wouldnāt have been opposed to a chibi-fied Misa and the VF-1J. Or Skull-Leader and Claudia.

Cool backstory. What does your handle mean? -
Why can we not see who has liked a post?

I think it has a very useful function here. In certain circumstances there is no need to comment about a collection picture or pose shared. A like will suffice. Commenting in those pictures gives us that monotony of people quoting and reinstating the same picture over and over to no unforeseen end. A like just keeps the image in place. Letās provider know someone has acknowledged it and lets the forum move on with new content. It works well with certain comments. If you agree with a persons perspective and just want to give nod, like works just fine. To me a like is similar to giving a person a wink or nod of approval. Plus itās a lot easier to use than having to type ā:ā & ā)ā to get an approval emoji. Or having to hunt it down on the forum menu. Itās a simple and effective way to communicate. š -
Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Seto Kaiba replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
Oh yes, that's Variable Fighter VF-1 Valkyrie Vol.1 page 78. There's a blocked-off section on that page that talks about how OTM-based threaded fasteners work and how the Human engineers from OTEC were flummoxed by what the Protoculture had done with a concept as simple as threaded fasteners. Their analysis found two revolutionary concepts: The bolts/screws they studied were machined with zero fit, meaning they were machined so precisely that there were absolutely gap of any kind between the root and thread of the screw and the socket they engage with. The surface of the bolts/screws and sockets were treated with molecule-thin layers of two different compounds that contact bond to each other via intermolecular forces and secure the bolt/screw in the socket until a certain amount of torque is applied at which point the bolt/screw turns freely (but which will re-bond cleanly once torque is no longer being applied). You've probably seen videos like the below showing off near-zero tolerance machining... but zero fit machining is even more precise than that. The molecular coating is a bit harder. In principle it's a bit like loctite, but somehow built into the screw/bolt and socket respectively and infinitely rebondable. Something like that is a bit beyond our modern technology and would definitely provide a more secure fit than anything we can currently achieve. -
