  1. Past hour
  2. The actress for Dina really carries the show now, she's fantastic, Bella is still rather meh as Ellie, but I can deal.
  3. Really good episode last night, lots of scenes were straight out of the game or damn near close, so that's a big plus. I still miss having Joel in the story, killing him off so early in the game/story I always felt was a mistake but it's how Neil Druckmann wrote it. Still very entertaining.
  4. @Cheese3 Your Misa figure looks good! I lost the eye decals for mine, so she came out looking more like Little Orphan Annie!đŸ€Ł @derex3592 Your work areas are looking great! Congrats! @Papa Rat The paint on your -1D looks REALLY good! Nice shading with the color mixtures. @Chas The mods to your SDF-1 made it look much better! @pengbuzz I saw a video online on how to save money model building. One of the suggestions was to use a watered down solution of white vinegar for a decal setting solution. I always thought setting solution smelled like acetic acid. I would give it a shot! - MT
  5. ... that is almost exactly what I pictured in my head. This would actually have felt a lot more natural than the hosts of Good Morning Coruscant who looked like they wandered onto the wrong set from a Hunger Games spinoff. With the Hutts reputation for being kind of sleazy (and in The Clone Wars, pretty hammy), they'd make ideal talk show hosts. Especially with their incination to big, booming laughter and their sluglike body profile that'd make them naturals at slouching over a host's desk. About the only Star Wars character who'd make a better talk show host would be f***ing Hondo... but he spends this same period hamming it up as an itinerant space pirate and bothering Hera Syndulla's rebel cell.

  7. The bizarre thing is that the joints started off tight enough, but got looser the more I transformed and posed it. Bending the knee fully into Gerwalk configuration seemed to have a ton of resistance at first, not sure if that made it worse...
  8. That’s the VF-1C. Nice. The kit is labeled as the VF-1D. The version of that head makes an appearance in Macross Design Works and possibly in SDF-M in grey. The 15th anniversary VF figures also had this unique head found on the Super VF-1D GERWALK, but not in the Battroid. 🧐 https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=5625 Very cool.
  9. I think the biggest flaw is that Hasbro/Takara (and this is an assumption on my part) are using the same manufacturing resources for their collector lines (MP/MPG/Haslab) and their $4.99 soap bottle toys. If they design a toy that requires some sort of finesse in production (tight tolerance, crisp paint application, sensible material choices ) their manufacturing resources have trouble building them properly and implement proper QC processes. I have experienced many toy lines from different manufacturers and Takara products have the shoddiest quality of them all. They have many of the issues mass produced toys for the retail market have. Which is not that big of an issue when it is a $20 toy for a young child that will break it eventually but a big deal if you spend $300 on an end all be all collector piece. What is the saving grace is that their engineers are able to design a transformation that is fun, engaging and rock solid. Something that Bandai and Sentinel fail at more often than not.
  10. I am only doing that for the Skull Squad limited edition for now. May be in the future, I may offer the Pro series base as a la carte option. Restock had already sold out for the month of April and I should restock mid-late May. Thanks.
  11. Don’t ruin the actual holiday, this is one of the only times I am required to have tacos on Monday, as well as Tuesday. Star Wars can wait til next year to have their thing on the fourth I’ll give revenge of the 7th though, because after all these tacos it’s definitely gonna feel like I had the low ground
  12. I appreciate that they've thought even this much about it, and if they explore the implications even a little bit, like the inclusion of Johnson's troubles, then that also shows that the writers see it as more than just a handwave, which is nice. That detail puts Klan's repeated use of micloning throughout Frontier into a bit of a different light, especially given her "clumsy genes" issue. I'm sure the deformity issues weren't thought out too much at that stage, but hindsight now makes it look reckless. I guess we can chalk it up to youth and love drivng risky behavior, and maybe also gives a backhanded explanation for her size (being almost as big as commander types in adult form). Maybe that's a side effect of her repeated use and eventually she'll be as tall as Boldoza someday? 😉
  13. Grabbed the Jaws set at a local shop on trade, only paid $60 out of pocket. Really, really cool set, agreed with most reviews though, the front of the ship is a headache, and overall, not nearly as stable as I would've hoped/expected. The rest of the build is great though, I'm 3 for 3 on Spielberg Lego sets, just need them to announce that long rumored ET set and I'm good...
  14. I saw it Saturday and really enjoyed it, I've also watched literally everything MCU up to this point so I was ready for more US Agent, Yelena, Ghost, and Red Guardian. A solid film overall, and some real, actual meat to the credits scenes, I feel that hasn't been a thing for a while because Disney/Marvel had to redo their entire Kang thing, so I imagine for years now the post credits scenes we were supposed to have been getting were all scrapped in favor of what we got, a whole lot of nothing, until now.
  15. Pics of the right foot on mine are in the spoiler: That's horribly loose, like flapping in the wind.
  16. Reinforcement unit arrived today! Quite nice in dark green, seems that the scope turret is actually a lighter silver colour! Now looking forward too the Bloodsucker unit July-August.... Then hope they release a Brutishdog before years end! đŸ€—
  17. Well, it would really be on Takara's shoulders as they're the ones who actually design these toys with essentially a few aesthetic suggestions from the Hasbro designers. I'm convinced Hasbro couldn't design a transforming toy on their own if they had to which is why their partnership with Takara is so imperative to the continuance and success of the line. That said, the Hasbro designers do get to handle early prototypes during development affording them ample opportunities to spot weaknesses and potential breakage points by consumers. To that end, they're not blameless, but Takara, who have 40+ years of experience designing these things, should also be more mindful of such things when designing these toys.
  18. I'm not sure the legs can even be disassembled unless you want to break the figure. I'm looking for a solution to that myself, with no luck. As for the loose ratchet, all I can think of in this situation would be Kiki joint fluid. Another solution would be scour the web for cheap defective YF-21's (there must be more than a couple on sale by now) and salvage the legs to attach via Delimiter mode.
  19. By the sound I can assume the teeth of the ratchet are very small maybe for having a good range of positions. Replacing the spring for a stronger one could be a solution.
  20. This blows. The loose ball joints on previous DX'es were bad enough, never thought ratchet joints will have the same issue..
  21. I filmed a video of just how loose my YF-21's knees have gotten. https://youtu.be/wGxk-op1rLA Seriously, of all its faults, this is the most egregious in my book...
  22. Thank you. Your recommendations are much appreciated. I think the second book is what I was looking for.
  23. Nice to see a lot of positive comments on the film here... Unlike most of the recent MCU output, which is either championed (Deadpool & Wolverine, GOTG3) or disparaged (The Marvels, Captain America 4), Thunderbolts* seems to be garnering both praise and criticism in equal measure. The response has been surprisingly polarizing (on social media, at least). đŸ€”
