There’s definitely room for some cool stuff. The Fallout series is surprisingly good and wouldn’t mind some of the ones mentioned above. Maybe go wild and a Jak and Daxter project for funsies or maybe get the testosterone going with Duke Nukem

Had to preorder this one the other night. One of the things that really makes me mad with Wave is that they always do a basic version and then many months later the one with all the cool stuff that should have been in the initial release. Anyway, just glad to have more for my jungle war

I’m sure they’re already working on a Super Smash Bros movie -
I actually liked Tales of the Jedi. They gave some nice depth to Dooku and Ahsoka. It showed that there were some festering flaws in the Republic and with the Jedi that disillusioned Dooku. And the Ahsoka stuff explained why she was able to survive Order 66 and gave us a little glimpse of why she went back into the fight after the Empire rose. The other two sets of Tales were very meh and underwhelming. The stories could have been so much more interesting, but they were too formulatic and “safe.” . . . And did everyone somehow forget how Mando Season 2 ended? That’s probably one of the high points of the Disney era.

Whenever a month is listed, it usually means end of month if the item isn’t pushed back

I kinda liked Skeleton Crew, but the ending was a bit of a let down. Unfortunately for a streaming service that ran on having Marvel and Star Wars content, there’s been an extreme lack of content from either brand or any brand for that matter. D+ is probably the worst of the streaming services due to that lack of content and then there’s no guarantee that a show will even be good. I think the last show they even had was Iron Heart and not only did it blow, but it seems like several months ago

Can you elaborate on this? I haven't handled my VF-25 revivals but did they drop an improvement we saw on Max's YF-29?

Star Wars Disney+ limited TV Series
Seto Kaiba replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
IMO, Rebels was pretty good. Its main problem is that, like The Bad Batch, it's basically a direct continuation of The Clone Wars and puts at least as much effort into picking up and running with plot threads from that series as it does coming up with its own story. Ahsoka and The Mandalorian are basically spinoffs of it with Ahsoka literally picking up right where Rebels ended. My guess would be that Filoni is going to run the Disney+ Star Wars originals and future movies like the Expanded Universe. It's going to be "continuing adventures" and continuity porn, because that's what he does. His idea of a good time is origin stories for one-dimensional villains from the 2000s (e.g. the Tales series).- 1431 replies

Yeah; compared to the line art, they didn't even come close with the 17S in some places. The legs look like toothpicks and don't even look like they could have engines in them. The ought to listen to the M7 song Try Again....

Frankly, they need to clean the fridge when it comes to ideas for Star Wars. Aside from Andor and S1 of The Mandalorian, I can't think of anything else good.

Agreed. I'll wait for the real trailer. AI is nice to see things quick, may give you ideas on a different direction. But for now, I'll stick to creative human's being involved. -

I like it, it's pretty good for what it is. It's not perfect but considering the price difference between a 3rd party/Masterpiece and this, the wallet can rest a little easy. I'd rather spend the big bucks on Macross anyways. It's weird, I like the clean cartoon look on Transformers over the detailed kibble that the Generations/Legacy line had, but prefer the opposite for Macross toys.- 17988 replies

Even so, blaming the president of the studio for a lack of leadership on the part of the lead producer, writer(s), and director(s) is a bit like blaming the CEO of a restaurant for a line cook getting your order wrong or blaming "Can you hear me now?" guy for a cell phone network outage. 🙃 Kathleen Kennedy was just a convenient blame figure for the fandom's culture warriors because she was a woman in authority and they're sexist AF, and because her position as the studio's president made her highly visible as the company's de facto head cheerleader responsible for all manner of promotional work. Give it time. Those reserves of goodwill will only last so long... especially if he continues trying to turn Star Wars into Star Wars: a Clone Wars Story. The man genuinely cannot let go of a 20 year old cartoon and he's rapidly running out of ideas. If Ahsoka is anything, it's a desperate plea for help and a sign that the well is running dry.- 1431 replies

Haha. So true! Sit back and watch the implosions. I don't see Dave being blamed as he's generated too much good to the fandom. But I'm sure there are some unfortunate writers that will be dragged through the coals.

Well, today was a productive day. 😁 Kitbashing random decals to enhance detail is my favorite part of this process, and the most creatively fulfilling. I look for shapes and colors that complement the topography of the model, and apply the waterslides wherever it seems appropriate. Sometimes I find decals that suit the model so well, you'd think they were designed for it! In this particular case, I'm trying to match the decals I used on the Biopsycher a couple years ago: However, trying to source more of the Bandai decal sheets I'd used in 2023 has suddenly become prohibitively expensive, as they now command at least TEN times what they'd cost only a couple years ago...! Frankly, I'd rather just make do with whatever I have left over from those days. The secondary market is nuts, man. 😒 ...or even a completed F-14, with little assembly required...? 😎 Who doesn't love the Tomcat? 😍
