    Hi-Metal R

The price of the 19P continues to drop for those interested but were turned off at the original price. Now at $134 shipped at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/TAMASHII-NATIONS-Excalibur-Planetary-Hi-Metal/dp/B0FCZS3BF2 Wouldn't surprise me if it continues to go even lower as I don't think anything Macross 7 will have that much demand.
  5. I think you could do a Two in one set (instead of including a TV set). On the other hand, they didn’t release a Japanese version of the NES but the NES design was the same in Europe and the US. Given that the US market is slightly bigger than the European one I would expect a US version of the SNES but that would habe little appeal to a big Lego market. Or they just do different sets for different regions. Lego has experimented with different color ways for sets so this would be the logical next step (although I am a big SNES fan so I would have to import the US version). The Europe and Japan version would probably be the more fun build, the US version seems to be straight forward in terms of design (plus the SNES doesn’t require the ingenious cartridge loading mechanism of the NES, maybe the SNES would be super boring).

  7. This is probably a toy that should have been battloid only with normal 80s action figure joints instead of transformable with almost no joints. Cool to see someone giving it some updates.
  8. Minerva is a cool looking ship @Chas. Very fighter-like for her size.
  9. It'll probably never happen - the US/Europe-Japan differences would be one challenge (though now I think of it you'd have the same issue with the SNES) - but as someone who was on the other side of the Console Wars, I'd love them to do a Mega Drive.
  10. Finally caught up....slow start, but got good really fast....
  11. Hear hear. I hate loose, floppy figures so I hardly ever-to-never transform mine, but I'll attempt a transformation or two of the Pose+ since I've bought only one thus far: While I typically buy duplicates to have one dedicated to play, I exercised restraint here because of the price tag, which, should increase if tariffs haven't been rolled back by the time I ship mine. I might pick up another one down the line if it's as impressive as I hope. [Moved question that was -here- to PM.]
  12. During one of the recent Amazon sales in my country I got a Lego Game Boy for around $45. It is an awesome set with crazy build techniques. Making it very close to the original. The way they managed to invert the building direction 180 degrees with the bar with stop ring piece is something I have never seen before on a Lego set. I know that other Brick based systems have specialized pieces for that that allows for the same technique but the pieces Lego used feels more Lego like (i.e. using an existing piece for a new purpose). It had only stickers for the cartridges which leaves the CV Game Boy console fully printed. All the buttons are functional too. What is bad about the set is that on my copy the clips that hold the rubber band for the A- and B-buttons have a different shade of gray and it is very noticeable in hands. I contemplate buying replacement pieces and how they have a shade more in line with the other pieces. Another bad thing is that the transparent plate for the displays is not packaged separately so of course mine had scratches. As someone who’s first gaming system was the Game Boy I am very nostalgic towards it so I greatly enjoyed the whole experience. Now Lego please do a (PAL) SNES next. Given that Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time I would be interested into a custom Chrono Trigger cartridge if they do a SNES. Also love this view from the manual:
  13. @electric indigo Another spectacular plane! That prop really sells it, but your paint and finishing is gorgeous (as usual). Really great looking build. @Papa Rat that's a nice kit, lots of great detail. Not a resin expert, but if the parts are tiny and not load bearing do they really need to be pinned? Maybe some research is in order, as trying to drill and pin tiny, or thin parts may case damage and if not necessary then best avoided? The Minerva is coming along well. I decided to use a modified version of the paint scheme from the OVA, as I like the extra blue on the wings and tail fins.

  15. Not sure where to post this, but thought I'd share a little mod I did to the old 1/72 Gakken Alpha. This toy holds a special place in my heart as it's the first toy I bought with my own money. Even as a kid, it looked wonky to me in fighter mode, with pathetic little wings that strained disbelief that this thing could fly. I recently got me one of the new Sentinel Legioss's. That thing is _awesome_. I had a thought of "I wonder how good the old 1/72 Gakken would look if it had a hinged wing like this". So I popped into Blender and mocked something up. I think it came out looking pretty good. This toy needs a missing link release. If it had a waste swivel, elbows, independent leg rotation, shoulder joints that could rotate forward...and these wings...that would really make a fun cheap toy. Ironically the SD Alpha released a few years ago has a lot of this, but they had to mess it up with a super deformed look and for some reason make it a pull back car. Why?!? I've uploaded the files to thingiverse. The wings are only 2mm thick, so the joint between the wing halves is prone to falling off, but you can push it back on easily enough. If I had more time, I'd redo all the other pieces of the toy I mentioned above to get the posability from this thing. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7296815/files
  16. Astrotrain is such a disappointment. Of all the new reveals, he was the one I was most looking forward to, especially after the terrible Siege figure. I was hoping for nice clean alt modes and a good looking bot mode, but this new fig is so encumbered by inelegant kibble as well as yet another poorly executed shuttle mode. How is it that Takara was able to deliver fairly clean alts and a nice-looking robot mode in 1985 and yet, with all the experience gained over the last 40 years, produce something this bad?
  17. Its a good that Takara-Tomy are producing it, since over Three decades and half I always wanted one, the only Legioss I had was IMAI kit, back in late 80s. However I`ll keep following for future variations. I am sure they`ll make crossover with the TFs.
  18. I'm completely blown away by how fast the Omega has sold out pretty much everywhere. I guess the desire/demand for Legioss toys, especially one at this level of affordability and playability, is far beyond what I anticipated. I figured these things would linger a bit. I would have considered going in on a Delta instead, as I like the green color scheme and the AWACs aspect, but I'm not at all fond of the wing design (too skinny and I don't like the big unsightly beavertails at the inboard trailing edges). I don't like the lance gun design either (it would've been much cooler if the lance splayed open like Michael's sniper rifle in Macross: Frontier). Anyway, given how well this thing is selling, I'm hoping TT and Toyrise will do a reissue at some point for those of us slow on the trigger. Thus far, I only own a copy of Sentinel's Eta and I have a copy of the Pose+ Eta preordered so I may try to jump on either Toyrise's Iota or the Zeta when they release, even though the Eta's my favorite color scheme. I'm hoping the Pose+ turns out to be a fairly easy toy to manipulate and transform. It's a pricey beast, and along with all the detailed interior stuff, ease of playability seems to be one of their foot stomp points as well. My first issue Sentinel Eta, with its super tight shoulder joints, small-fidgety nature, and loose ankle joints isn't the most accommodating toy in-hand. It's beautiful and I love it, but it's just not much fun to handle and I'm hoping the Pose+ will be. The Toyrise Legioss offers a playable toy, too, and while I chose the Pose+ over Toyrise, I'm thinking I might have to go in on at least one of their Legioss variants just for the fun factor it offers. I'm looking forward to in-hand reviews of it. Congrats to all who managed to snag copies before they were sold out.
  19. It’s not the shape but the overall length. Two hoses are joined together in the ditch of the arm opposite side of elbow if that makes sense. Each hose runs down forearm to two connection points on either side of wrist. One reaches, the other is 1mm shy of the connection. I’m shaving away at the connection point where the two hoses are joined together. It’s getting me very close. Just a little more and I hope it will do the trick. Some trepidation in removing too much so I’m going slow I’ll work on it more after work tonight Also considered altering the angle of the wrist to a more straight position but that may mess up the other hose that’s actually connecting no problem lol
  20. Is it because of the curve of the hose piece? If it is, you can heat up the part with hot water or a blow dryer to fit the form and once it gets to the desired shape, dip it in ice water to hold the shape so it doesn’t try and warp back.
  21. don't forget the part where they release dyrl fast packs with all of skull squadron but only ever release a hikaru 1S and a kakizaki 1A and released tv roy 3 times
  22. I was eyeing this site everyday since you mentioned this and one finally showed up. Grabbed it for around $24 USD. Thanks for the tip!
