    I'll be glad when this show is over, the finale season is the weakest imho. Some really drawn out and unnecessary crap and plot lines that borderline on cringe. It took 3 years for this??

    The 2026 City lineup seems really strong to me, and for the first time, all but the very largest sets have only prints. I like to think it's due to his PTSD from leading Sticker Champions. The Jet vs Car set looks surprisingly good, in terms of subject matter, value, and lack of stickers.

    I thought I'd POed it when I POed the upcoming BvS and The Batman Batmobiles, but after checking my order status, nope. Ah well, my sister gifted me a LEGO gift card for Christmas, so the spousal unit and I are headed to the LEGO Store on Thursday to scope out the new sets. I'll likely pick up the Delorean along with a couple other new Speed Champion sets. I may have to pick up one or two of the new City Great Vehicles as well. A former Speed Champions lead now leads the City line, and his goal is to impart more functionality into the City line while still maintaining or improving the aesthetics of the sets. I was wondering, especially given the working engine pistons in this year's bulldozer set. That was a surprise and certainly beyond the level of functional detail I've seen in a City set, so I'm quite pleased with this direction. My hope is that eventually they'll start integrating retractable landing gear into their aircraft sets, a bit of RW functionality that has too-long been omitted.

    OO! I know this one too! I know stupid $h1t about Star Wars the way Seto knows things about Macross tech! 😛 Star Wars blasters fire a particle "bolt." The size doesn't really matter its more or less the same from handguns to spaceships: Theres a gas container that, when the gun is fired, sends a small amount of gas into the main chamber, which is then excited/energized by a power source (The source depends on the size of the gun. so on a hand blaster its a battery, on a ship it comes from the ships energy stores.), then travels into a containment area and focused using magnetic fields, then passes through a crystal (The kind varies) which then forces the excited particles forward in a beam. The color depends on the kind of gas used (In Empire Strikes Back, Landos Tibanna gas mine is so lucrative because Tibanna gas is used in a lot of handheld blasters). I know this isn't Macross, I was just excited to contribute.

    Congrats @Graham! Sadly mine won't arrive till mid. January, but from the images posted so far online the mech looks phenomenal! The Bloodsucker is also superb.... The line is a real treat if you like the V.O.T.O.M. series! Hope they continue expanding it for years to come! 🤗

    Just like with the movie Queadluun Rau, they seem to have a biomechanical connection. Kinda similar to the squishy creepy Bodol Zer stuff is.the lower is the bio mechanics for the Queadluun Rau. DYRL had some creepy technology

    Binged Akasic Records of something Bastard. It's okay. Don't think I'll revisit it since there's no S2 after 8years. Watched the latest OPM S3 episode. Better than all the other episodes of this season combined but still not as good as one episode of S1. Started Digimon Beatbreak. Gekkomon annoys me.

    It's kind of supposed to be extremely cramped. The head, shoulders, and left arm of the pilot can be seen in the image on the right, and the mecha's view screen is ridiculously close to the face shield on the pilot's helmet! As some of the captions are cut off, I dusted off my copy of the Macross movie Gold Book to find out what those bits are: Right image, lower right: 肩や胸にも肉質パイプがからんでいます。(Fleshy pipes also entwine around the shoulders and chest.) Bottom: 胸から下は肉質パイプクッションに完全にうずもれています。(From the chest down, the pilot is completely covered by a fleshy pipe cushion.) The description (in the Gold Book) provides a bit more context to those "fleshy pipes" (= the squiggly bits): 倍力機の内部は半生体組織となっており、兵員の肉体と生体コネクターによって直接的に接合される。(The interior of the servos consists of semi-biological tissue, and is directly connected to the soldier's body via biological connectors.) 神経系による直接制御は補助的なシステムとされ、過剰フィードバックによる兵員と倍力機の神経的損傷を防ぐ設計となっている。(Direct neural control is considered to be an auxiliary system, designed to prevent neurological damage to both soldier and the servos due to excessive feedback.) There's a lot to unpack in that description... 😮
