I don’t really see any difference between this and the current HMR 0S and 0A w/Ghost. Unless I’m missing something?

The initial 0S release did not include the slotted parts to accommodate missile launcher up top. Apparently this release includes a stand with new print as well.😅

I'll probably order just 1 to open and another to keep MISB for the official back parts.  I already have several of the VF-0S and a set of back parts painted white from a spare Genius Blue set.

Yeah, off white or greyish white would be preferable. I keep my HMR 0S with the 0A's Ghost parts in the darkest corner of my cab in the darkest part of the house...

Hoping that at least the wings will be less see through.  If not then I'm still cool with it.

I've got one on pre-order, but not hugely excited about this release, as I already have the standalone HMR VF-0S and the VF-0A with Ghost Booster, which I find very frustrating to handle, especally in battrod mode, as the Ghoost Booster and missiles get knocked off / fall off at the slightest touch.

I hope Bandai is updating the type of material this time because the first release Roy had cheap feel to it for some reason on the white, whereas the subsequent releases didn’t.

The new one comes with this insert instead of the schematics. I'm thinking it'd be cool to combine this with the schematics from the other VF-0s and have it framed.

Not entirely sure, but the plastic on the new one seems brighter white. I also checked the wings on both versions by placing them in front of my phone's flashlight and there's a difference. I don't know how to describe it but the effect of the bright light is different on each version's wings.

I second your thoughts on the plastic quality. The new combo is brighter opaque white with little yellow while the first release is yellowish, translucent white. I took the old one out for a direct comparison side by side and I’d have to vouch for the new version.👍

It's quite the surprise that Bandai made changes to the plastic to make it more opaque, but this can only be a good thing.
