Black Valkyrie Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Interesting, different time lines 😁. I always wished in the samurai era. Quote
Hikuro Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Guess this is the project they were discussing at Cinemacon or whatever about sneaking two movies at us. Quote
Duke Togo Posted April 9 Posted April 9 The trailer didn't do much for me, but I have Hulu, so... Quote

Guess I got my wish, but I'm surprised it's animated. Nonetheless, it still looks good and perhaps they can do more with an animated budget. Looking forward to it. Quote
Knight26 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Wish it were live action, but animated will still be cool, especially in that timeframe. Quote
TangledThorns Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Looks like good sci-fi to me. I wonder if ALIEN will see a similar animated treatment? Quote

Tking22 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Yeah this new CG movie is looking better then the newly announced live action movie, the anthology-style time period thing really has my interest. Quote

Agree, as it's keeping with what Anna told Dutch and Co.- it returns and hunts throughout generations. The fact that humans historically have spent far more efforts towards advancing their abilities to kill each other than any other concern (except perhaps the advancement of wealth) would undoubtedly offer irresistible opportunities for hunting to such a creature as the Predator. Looking forward to this. Edited May 22 by M'Kyuun Quote
Duke Togo Posted Friday at 11:30 PM Posted Friday at 11:30 PM I watched the first of the three stories and this really comes across as an animated 300 with the Predator in it. Don't expect anything grounded here. The humans are superhuman and the Predator is Hulk-sized. Quote
sh9000 Posted Saturday at 12:08 AM Author Posted Saturday at 12:08 AM I'll check it out this weekend. Quote
Duke Togo Posted Saturday at 01:35 PM Posted Saturday at 01:35 PM I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief through any of this, and I immensely dislike the implications of the ending. I'm not sure who the audience for this is supposed to be. It had the logic of a kids' cartoon, but the violence of something for adults. Quote
Negotiator Posted Saturday at 05:04 PM Posted Saturday at 05:04 PM I enjoyed it for the most part. I didn't like the battle in the third story it just seemed really unfair but I figured out that that character would need to be used specifically for something later on. I would like to see a sequel and I hope the sequel isn't bad lands. Quote
Hikuro Posted Saturday at 07:10 PM Posted Saturday at 07:10 PM I liked it for the most part. The Sword was probably the best story of the 3. And the ending is kind of weak. I did dig that little ending cameo though. Spoiler It’s odd though cause not that flint pistol belonged to what’s her name after prey, but looks like they wiped out her tribe and she’s now in stasis. Then it goes into Torres possession leaving him and the shinobi’s story up in the air as they get chased by a ton of predators. I did dig that Michael Beihn had a small role in this project now putting him right there with Bill facing down 3 of the most infamous sci-fi villains of history. Quote
TangledThorns Posted yesterday at 02:06 AM Posted yesterday at 02:06 AM I thought it was well made. There is only so much you can do with the PREDATOR and it seems they are pushing it more than ever before. Also, Michael Biehn's age seems to be taking a toll on him as he sounded much older than he really is. Quote

Tking22 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Best Predator content since Prey and the first Predator IMO, this film was absolutely fantastic! I loved it, and I need a sequel, stat. I loved the ending too, animation is clearly the way to go as far as bringing legacy characters back too, and the implication of the ending makes sense considering the overall continuity in this franchise. Spoiler Dutch CAN return, and Arnold can voice him, and he can be pristine, non-deepfake creepy Dutch, in his prime, no issues. Loved the ending, makes sense to me, why wouldn't these things swoop up any being or creature capable of killing one of their own? Makes perfect sense, and being able to cryo-freeze them? Oh yes, once again, being animated, we can have anyone back from any film or point in the timeline, I love it, I'm in for it, at this point forget live action, keep going with animated films like this. Absolutely need a sequel, probably my favorite piece of Predator media since the first film, just phenomenal beginning to end. I'm glad this thing debuted to critical acclaim, and apparently really solid viewer numbers, the new live action film looks beyond meh, I want a sequel to this, and how it ended, I'm sure we are, and the crossover stuff is gonna be fun. Spoiler Naru, possibly Dutch, with these three new heroes, maybe even Mike from Predator 2? That sounds awesome, and I'm excited to see where a sequel goes. Quote
