Those look great, but given Wave's pricing  they will likely be very expensive.

Wave’s pricing isn’t really that bad for a smaller company. Hg Bandai kits are starting to creep up into the mid thirties these days. As an example for a smaller 1/35 kit of the scopedog without the cockpit and downform parts, it’s about thirty bucks and has extra hands, round mover back pack and a machine gun. A fairly good amount of plastic. 1/100 destroids don’t even have hands or extra weapons or back packs. I’d still expect they’d probably be near that range more or lessIMG_3156.jpeg.7c5d77a79957a8e3b8e0fc5898dc86ad.jpeg

I am also looking forward to these.

They look like smaller, yet simplified versions of their 1/72 kits, but I feel like this scale will work for more diverse displays

Really wish they'd put work into a Spartan, now that they could use the design for both 1/72 and 1/100 scale kits.

I hope that’s coming soon. I know the main three are easy due to similar legs, but a Spartan would be great as well and maybe that 1/100 Monster they’ve been teasing for decades

No problem. I got the 1/72 version and love it, and I seem to have quite a few 1/100 kits so I was looking forward to this as well.

The larger one retails for a lot of $$$$. I keep looking for it but I’m happy for the 100 scake

It was cheaper the first run, but shipping and inflation happened and now it’s a pricey kit in 1/72. The 1/100 is mostly looking like a simplified compact version of the larger kit. And the new one fits in well with the wave VF-1 kits and hg Bandai kits.

They need to do a Spartan to play bass with those big hands

Ordered a couple of Tomahawks at Hobby Genki.  A little cheaper than HLJ.

2 Toms are better than one

I love the destroids. Its a shame they only had these 3 in Macross. It would have been really cool if they'd had a 4th. Maybe painted green. With big hands. Alas, I guess we shall never know how that might have turned out.

Maybe one day there will be a fourth and maybe we might even get lucky and see a fifth that has chicken legs, but super chonky

Does the Spartan share the lower body that those other three do? I admit I've never taken a super close gander at it...

As KOG said, it’s very unique. The only thing that might be similar are the missile hatches and even those don’t look exactly the same.IMG_3441.gif.84de4b76152f0b19480a8dbb5e74ddbb.gifthe main reason that wave probably decided to do the main 3 in 1/72 and the prototypes for those 3 in 1/100 is that other than a few little bits on them, the lower halves are the same. I don’t think they ever even teased a spartan, although they did tease a 1/100 monster many many years ago. Maybe if the demand is high enough with the main three they might consider a 1/100 Spartan. I wouldn’t doubt that Plamax or even Hasegawa are thinking about it since they’re both running low on 1/72 og Macross mecha and wave had that fairly recent rerelease of the big three destroids and a 1/72 monster from those companies might be a little tough on the joints.

I’d commit to buying six Spartans if Wave would do it in 1/72. I’d be ok with PLAMAX or Hasegawa, but I like the idea of the same manufacturer producing it so it matches the scale and “style” of the other Destroids.

The wave destroids already have a style that’s very tv oriented. Plamax definitely goes very tv and hasegawa has been leaning more to that style as well. I think as long as it’s in scale, it would fit very well no matter which of those companies puts it out.
