Smut Peddler Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 No crabs for me yet. Normally that would be a good thing =\
Smut Peddler Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I've got crabs ! Excitedly announced by nobody, ever. However, I have no problem shouting that declaration.
captain america Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 ...And sharing is caring! Oh, and destructions are ready too!
coronadlux Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 "evil decepticons" Hahahaha, how about the evilness kniwn as HG.
varitechs Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Welcome to my world Blueberry !!!! :D :D A little picture for comparison... between Alpha 1/48 and VF-1 1/60
DarkArchon3000 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Blueberry Crab reinforcements have landed! Now all that's missing is some red scout variants and a couple of humanoids to lead them all, and it's a full 1/48 scale space crab invasion. Edited May 13, 2014 by DarkArchon3000
CoryHolmes Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 That's a cool scale pic. You wouldn't happen to have a 1/48th VF-1 to keep in scale, would you?
derex3592 Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 (edited) Cap'n! The only instructions page that has a print option once you enlarge it is the 1st page. Can you re-post them with a print option? Edited May 17, 2014 by derex3592
captain america Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Cap'n! The only instructions page that has a print option once you enlarge it is the 1st page. Can you re-post them with a print option? Technically all pics are the same resolution and file type, so it might be something to do with the site. Might be easier just to save the image to your computer and then print. I will see if I can coax another kit or two out of the molds now that they've had a chance to breathe for about a week. Smooth-On rubber has definitely improved!
Smut Peddler Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Since you are doing the 1/72 Spartan. What are the chances of you doing destroids in 1/48
captain america Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 1/48 Destroids are certainly feasible, my greatest concern is that the size and complexity would push the price-point beyond what most people are willing to spend.

Smut Peddler Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 yes, it's interesting for our collection but seriously, 1/48 (height = ~ 55" / 22 cm) it's very big and it will be very expensive...Where did you get 55"s ? They should be around the same size as a VF-1, without measuring, they are only around 12"s
sbantonelli Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 The 55 comes from multiplying 22cm by 2.54 instead of dividing.
sbantonelli Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It's okay, I've made many conversion errors in my life. At least we didn't crash the mars climate orbiter.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Finnally my Gammo copy arrived to South America!!! It's bigger than expected!!! John really captured the essence of this design in 3D!!! Already started cleaning the kit!!!

captain america Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 You're very welcome, guys (and gals!) Funny as this may sound, I used temporary hot glue to build my kit for the promo poster and was expecting the glue to fail weeks ago, but it's still standing with no problems.
cool8or Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 So Cap, the next project will be the Spartan? Or are you thinking on another thing? (Like an N-Ger, i.e....)

JayGeeForty Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Did anyone put one of these together and paint them? I'd love to see how they turned out.
derex3592 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 check the "on the workbench" thread. I'm working on one now.
