For the heatshield, which is curved, you can apply heat with a hairdryer and and it will mold to the surface without leaving any bubbles. I got the vinyl at a local graphic shop. Easily top 5 Macross toy overall for me, but now I actually have it on display, it's starting to supplant the YF-19 as my favorite in fighter mode. Adding to that is that the design has 3 different engines & booster types incorporated into the whole thing that makes it more amazing.
