If you enjoy never before seen pre-production art , pick up the new book ART OF BATTLE – Koichi Ohata Robot Chronicle

https://japanese-creative-books.com/product/illustration/art-of-battle-koichi-ohata-robot-chronicle/

10 pages full of good stuff. I think at least 90% I've never seen before.
And if you like Galvion art, there is stuff in here too which isn't even in that Galvion book released a while ago.
Go buy this-its cheap and very cool :)

I had been sitting on buying this book, but thanks to samples of photos you posted, I have it coming in today or tomorrow. I'm excited to get this.

Hello, how are you?

Question if someone knows how to answer me

I didn't know this illustration by Makoto Kobayashi.

Do you know which magazine or artbook it belongs to?

It looks like it came out of one of these because in the photo you can clearly see that it was cut irregularly.

The image was taken from Yahoo Auctions.

Thank you very much.

As far as I know, Makoto Kobayashi's only involvement with Macross was supporting development of Arii's plamodel line.

Given the rough print quality, I'd assume it's from one of his self-published works.

I was unaware of this information

I didn't know that he self-published his works.

It is very possible that this is the case

Thank you very much

The shipping costs are too high now on single book purchases....not particularly interested in the model books though, but need to order 3 or more to justify the shipping expense

Got a very nice assortment of artbooks, manga, and LNs today! At some point in the future, I'd love to scan some of this, the 30 artbook and Nyan Dora especially. Alto Meets Sky is gorgeous enough that it /has/ to be shared. Unfortunately, I don't have proper scanning equipment, and I'd also ideally like to find second copies of them to take apart. For now, they'll be personal treasures. I'm very excited to have a copy of Wired Warrior, included in the short story collections!

Is that a compilation book of all the comics? If so, while I have the comics, this would be a great grab to go through them in one book.

Description from HobbySearch:

The phantom comic adaptation of the Macross series

The OVA series "Super Dimension Fortress Macross II -LOVERS AGAIN-" was planned to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the birth of "Super Dimension Fortress Macross". Its comic adaptation was handled by Tsuguo Okazaki, who also worked on "Justy", and it was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from the May 1992 special issue to the December 1992 special issue. Now, after more than 30 years, it is being republished in a new edition that has been scanned from the original manuscript and makes full use of the latest digital technology. It also includes rare color illustrations that were published in the magazine when it was serialized.

In the year 2009, a girl performed a miracle. A miraculous singing voice spread across the despair of outer space, putting an end to an unprecedented, gigantic battle. 80 years later, a new battle has begun! While covering the battlefield, a TV reporter boy named Kanzaki Hibiki rescues Ishtar, a singing shrine maiden of the alien army...
