What's lying on your workbench? MKII

HWR MKII,

Nice pictures with the Leopard 2.

1/6 scale? Jeez, that's freaking huge! Still, more space for detailing and such. Plus the obvious "Wow" factor of a completed one.

I love modern armor also, with the M1 Abrams being my favorite. But the Leopard 2's, especially from A5 onwards with the additional armor packages to the turret, providing that wedge look. The A6 is even better with the longer L55 gun. I love the "linework" of the Leopard 2's, it just flows very nicely.

Then again, the Germans have experience in "Wow" tanks, since 1942! :lol:

I'm new here... or coming back from awhile ago. I believe I posted these pictures on the old forums like 5 years ago when I started these two kits. Well here they are (still in their WIP form)...

Please excuse the crappy picture quality (it was from my old webcam):

SHE YF-19

[attachmentid=40382][attachmentid=40383][attachmentid=40384][attachmentid=40385][attachmentid=40386][attachmentid=40387][attachmentid=40388][attachmentid=40416][attachmentid=40417]

SHE YF-21

[attachmentid=40389][attachmentid=40391][attachmentid=40392][attachmentid=40393]

[attachmentid=40400][attachmentid=40401][attachmentid=40402][attachmentid=40403][attachmentid=40394][attachmentid=40395][attachmentid=40396][attachmentid=40398][attachmentid=40404][attachmentid=40399][attachmentid=40418]

I also have the two of them posed as if they were fighting it out. I'll drop those in later.

[attachmentid=40405][attachmentid=40406][attachmentid=40407][attachmentid=40408][attachmentid=40409][attachmentid=40410][attachmentid=40411][attachmentid=40412][attachmentid=40413][attachmentid=40414][attachmentid=40415]

I'll update with some more better pics sometime when I can find their buried boxes in my room (somewhere).

These two kits were basically my test run for SHE's products. I have their other products such as another YF-19, two (2) fast-pack sets for the YF-19 & 22, the VF-19Fire, the VF-22 and the VF-11 which I'm hoping to get to in the future as well (not in that particular order).

I have a bunch of other things sitting a current state of WIP. I need to get cracking...

Neptunesurvey, I just had a good laugh! I was like, "hey!" in referance to your build (one in particular). They ALL look well built. I need to get me a ghost one of these days. - MT

I thought you would MechTech. I finally came across a blue that will probably look good on the transport.

The ghost is coming along nicely. You should probably get one. It is a very nice kit. Had a few small bubbles but nothing series. I finished the blue coat today and will spray on the white a little later. I'll post finished pictures of the ghost late next week.

Those are some sweet SHE models there!

I'm working on a variable white VF-19-S, 1/100 Bandai.

[attachmentid=40449]

(top right pic has been edited to see how the final colors could look like.)

The paint scheme will be like Roy's Skull Squadron (White, Black and Yellow).

Still have to find the "Jolly Rogers" logo somewhere. =p

Forgot to snap any pics, bt my Tomahawk just went into weathering... did the initial oil wash and cleaned it up. I want to try the recently developed (I think) technique of applying oil paint dots and blending them in with clean thinner to add surface variation and really gorgeous weathering...then down and dirty for he real dirt part with some seious pastel work. I'm excited... try to get a pic up before it gets ugly :lol:

You can find the Skull Squadron logo in the model section.

That will be a great looking 19 when done.

Can not wait to see those Tomahawks. For those that do not have them 'like me' the post should be titled "See what you are missing!" :lol:

Good crap Sean... how'd you pull so far ahead in one night??? That is simply gorgeous looking... far better than mine all of a sudden :blink: How'd you do all the scuffing and chipping? It is spot on!

There's plenty to do on mine, its only recieved one oil wash, mostly for the rivets and lines. It's still gotta get actually weathered, and then all the little funky details, like the other clear parts, metal foil for the lights, and a little more work on the ankle piston joints which I kinda messed up one of... I spent alot of time on the cockpit tub, so that must be where I lost so much time to HWR... I even added HUD displays to the clear screen...

I can take some later with the monster, Phalanx, and defender. All thats needed now is a spartan. I will be replacing the defender soon enough though. ;)

I'll be waiting for that pic. Great work. I love the aged, battle worn look.

*edit :wacko: I just quoted you without reading the next few posts... Awesome pics.
