Ranger565 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Yeah those are Freaking amazing. The Milia super Battroid is what I am currently working on. man he is good.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Thanks for sharing the link!!! Great models.
big F Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Good God how many kits has he built. Great work though all the same.
Gabe Q Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 That is some really good work. It's inspiring me to get off my ass and start building. Technically, I guess I have to be seated while building so 'get on my ass' might be more appropriate.
newca Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Oh my Godness! did you see this?! http://www.hkml.net/Discuz/viewthread.php?...550&fpage=1 Totally awesome! Even the Roy Focker can "transform" from standing mode to sit down mode!
Chas Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Wow! Very nice looking builds.Very, very clean look. Is it me or does it look to you folks like he uses straight black for the panel lines too? He did a great job on that transforming VF-0, but I'll bet he doesn't transform it much . Still modifying a kit like that is an awesome challenge and, when completed successfully, can be an incredibly rewarding experience, even if you only transform it a few times just to show others what you did! Mad props to this bloke for his incredible skill.
Gabe Q Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Oh my Godness! did you see this?! http://www.hkml.net/Discuz/viewthread.php?...550&fpage=1 Totally awesome! Even the Roy Focker can "transform" from standing mode to sit down mode! He's not human. That's pretty crazy work there. I wish I could do something like that without having to spend too much time on it though. I have other things to do... ... but still, that posable Focker pilot was just about the craziest thing I ever saw.

captain america Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 The transforming VF-0 and VF-1 are surprisingly nice in the battroid modes derived from the planes. I'm not too keen on the full-action/everything moves concept for models though, as you end up with sloppy hinges like in the pics. Definitely an A for effort though.
MechTech Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 AWESOME work! I can appreciate all the changes he's made. Not to mention the difficulty of taking weak material like styrene and adding brass hinges and other stuff. And yes, I bet he doesn't transform it often. Just the paint alone starts wearing off! Great engineering!!!
Chas Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 http://www.hkml.net/Discuz/redirect.php?ti...stpost#lastpost Holly Crap! How do you put screws in Styrene? That is just nuts! I'm surprised at how good it looks in fighter mode given that I'm preeeetty sure he's using the legs (bottom half- knees down) from the Battriod kit which are much bigger than those of the fighter kit. Am I right in that assumption? What does it look like to you folks?
mojacko Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 wow those kits are really amazing....great work!!!
Salamander Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Holly Crap! How do you put screws in Styrene? Reinforce inside of nosecone with piece of styrene card (1-2 mm thick), drill hole in swing bar, drill somewhat smaller hole in nosecone, put screw in swing bar hole, screw screw into nosecone hole without tightening it too much (tightening it too much will strip the hole). If you want a sturdier connection you can carefully put a drop of superglue in the nosecone hole before putting in the screw, but you've got to put in just the right amount, otherwise the leg will be immobile.
aaajin Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 that is just amazing...to work on such details on a small scale model is just amazing....BTW, did anyone saw the Max-0S custom? doesnt look all that bad....so, Yamato, give us some Max-0S non cannon treatment!
guncross2 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Not bad at all =) it sure motivate me to built more Macross kits, especialy the 1/170 factorie strips.
Skullsixx Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 That was gnarly!!! But, how about a YF-19? Ya know... painted Isamu style!
deadghost Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 ho dam, thats wicked work........................sigh, dam and im still reseaching wich kit I should start on, sv-51, vf-0d, vf-0 reactive armor, x-9 ghost, I can only choose one.
Chas Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 It doesn't matter! just pick one. There is no 'right' choice in that situation. You're just procrastinating. .
